Alonso, 32, is free to talk to new potential employers outside Spain as he has now entered the final six months of his Madrid contract, with conflicting mid-negotiation leaks and experiences within the local media claiming he’s both eager to extend his present deal or near signing for Serie A giants Juventus.
Meanwhile Casillas, also 32, has been linked with a transfer away from the Bernabeu this January to ensure he plays regular football forward of subsequent summer’s World Cup, with Diego Lopez being Ancelotti’s preferred alternative for all La Liga matches.
Talking to Madrid’s official web site after Thursday afternoon’s 1-zero win over Paris Saint-Germain in Qatar, the Italian coach said he didn’t consider there was any cause for Blancos followers to be concerned about both problem.
“About Xabi Alonso we consider that in the end we are going to find a resolution and the club and the participant will attain an settlement,” Ancelotti said. “The case of Casillas is very clear: he’ll play within the Champions League and also in the Copa del Rey.”
