Trying to watch the particular Olympics? Even with NBCOlympics. possuindo now streaming every occasion live online, the crazy array of events can make the particular viewing experience a bit staggering.
It’s rare for twenty-four-hour casinos to close for a short time frame, however that’s just what happened in Cleveland on Monday thanks to frigid chilly temperatures that hit the Midwest.
Temperatures were effectively beneath zero for Northeast Ohio, while the coldest spots in Wisconsin have been approaching unfavourable 30. Monday and Tuesday reportedly had been the coldest days in 20 years for a lot of the country, even setting record-lows in some locations.
Horseshoe On line casino Cleveland opened in Might 2012.
It doesn’t seem some other casinos within the U.S. closed Monday as a result of climate.
The first official coach firing of Black Monday is Leslie Frazier, coach in Minnesota for the previous three seasons. (Cleveland obtained the bounce on Black Monday when news emerged last evening about Rob Chudzinski.)
Minnesota overachieved in 2012, reaching the playoffs with a late successful streak. That crashed again down, and the truth that Minnesota’s protection was terrible (Frazier’s aspect of the ball) was doubtless his downfall, even because the group also tries to figure out what it is doing at quarterback.
Embattled Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, who put the finishing touches on a 3-13 document with an uninspiring loss to the Giants in Week 17, could know his fate in hours not days. He informed reporters Sunday that he'll meet with staff owner Dan Snyder early Monday morning to discuss his job status. Based on TheMMQB.com's Peter King and FOX Sports activities' Jay Glazer, Shanahan is anticipated to be fired at the moment.
The coach has made it clear that he has no plans to resign. That will have something to do with the $7 million he has remaining on his contract, in addition to the truth that he'd like to repair the mess he is created in his four years in Washington.
"I've instructed you from Day 1, I really like these guys," the coach stated final week. "We've been working extraordinarily exhausting to place this factor together. We have had a few bumps, which we all know, with the salary cap [penalty]. However I am looking forward to building this crew. Like I mentioned, I'll get the possibility to take a seat down with Dan on the end of the season and we'll go from there."
We've joked in current weeks that Snyder ought to carry Shanahan again simply to keep away from paying him $7 million but when Shanahan is indeed despatched packing, Robert Griffin III's coach at Baylor, Art Briles, might be in the combine to switch him.
Since coming to Washington in 2010, Shanahan is 24-forty, and that features the 7-zero finish to the 2012 season thanks, in large part, to RG3.
Nine coaches, I believe, have a realistic likelihood of being relieved of their duties within the immediate aftermath of the season. A tenth–Joe Philbin of Miami–I don’t imagine might be fired even when the Dolphins lose on Sunday, though the Jonathan Martin/Richie Incognito state of affairs is lurking and is a variable for the off-season, as soon as the NFL concludes that investigation. We’ll set that apart and handicap the outlook for the others.
Additionally, while I will have a look at more specific components for every, I additionally tried to try past coaches with comparable information by way of X number of years (since 1978). In fact, discovering comparable report patterns was simpler for shorter teaching careers (like Dennis Allen and Greg Schiano) than longer ones with extra years.
Right here is my estimate, from nine to 1, of the chance of those who have been mentioned as possible candidates to be gone.
9. Jason Garrett, Dallas Cowboys
Jerry Jones has stated Garrett is safe. The protection has been dreadful, the offense normally respectable. Whether or not you suppose Tony Romo’s injury and probably lacking the showdown game influences the choice or not, I tend to assume Garrett is secure for yet one more year.
Of the most comparable three year starts at a workforce, only one was fired after yr 3 (Carroll with New England). A few of these guys made the playoffs at least as soon as, not like Garrett if he loses Sunday. Nevertheless, even those who didn’t (Fisher, Erickson, Kubiak, Jauron) were given a fourth year.
Prediction: 10% chance, SECURE
eight. Dennis Allen, Oakland Raiders
Allen has a chance to make historical past. He would be the solely coach to start out four-12, four-12 in NFL historical past if the Raiders lose to the Broncos. Exciting stuff.
Nevertheless, coaches who start just like Allen are frequent. Listed below are probably the most related begins to a coaching career, and slightly below half had been fired.
Oakland underwent a seismic shift, and are taking a much totally different approach after the dying of Al Davis. If they’re taking the view that this is a multi-yr venture, then Allen will get yet another year for the staff to make a soar.
Prediction: 30%, PROTECTED
7. Rex Ryan, New York Jets
5 years in, there are actually no good comparables for Rex Ryan’s run in New York. The closest might be Jerry Burns with Minnesota, who had forty four wins by five seasons, reached a NFC Championship Game with a top defensive crew that went 8-7 in 12 months 2, and in 12 months 5 went 6-10. He received a sixth yr. One other one is Sam Rutigliano, who had 28 wins in his first three years, then two straight losing ones. He additionally came back. Dave Wannstedt, one other defensive man, wasn’t as profitable as Ryan, however had between 7 and 9 wins every of his first four seasons, before dropping to four-12. He also was retained.
After all, all meaning nothing, as a result of the large variable here is what John Idzik thinks. Ryan has presided over some dreadful offenses, with by my unofficial count, 1,345 failed offensive coordinators. He can coach protection, getting results out of some less than stellar personnel in certain spots. Chase Stuart has damaged it down and Rex Ryan reportedly told gamers he thought he was going to be out.
I have zero feel, and nothing would shock me here.
PREDICTION: 50%, Toss Up on Monday Morning
6. Tom Coughlin, New York Giants
How a lot good will has the long time (and two time Tremendous Bowl champion) Giants coach built up? Don Banks with MMQB said it is time.
There have been nine coaches since 1978 who had a protracted tenure with a group, and sometime between year 9 and yr eleven, had a losing yr after a protracted string of success (Mike Ditka, Tom Flores, Jeff Fisher, Dennis Inexperienced, Mike Holmgren, Chuck Knox, Marv Levy, Jim Mora, and Marty Schottenheimer). Six of the nine weren’t back with the group the subsequent yr.
Possibly he is allowed to exit in another way, and not fired on the primary day. He still may not be back. I believe it’s close to a toss up, as a result of that Super Bowl from two years ago masks a normal decline in the staff, notably the protection, over several years, and Coughlin is one of the oldest coaches in the league.
PREDICTION: 60% GONE
5. Mike Munchak, Tennessee Titans
Not too many related situations, though Forrest Gregg did go 8 wins, eight wins, then four with the Packers. Like Gregg, Munchak was a former Corridor of Fame lineman with the same group. Will that, and Locker’s harm, by him one other year? The Titans’ younger protection was robust at occasions, and the offense was inconsistent however confirmed flashes. Still, too many squandered opportunities in a year for the taking in the AFC South.
Bud Adams’ demise begins a brand new era for the Titans. Will Munchak be part of it?
PREDICTION: 60% GONE
four. Greg Schiano, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The record of guys like Greg Schiano (7-9 wins in 12 months one, drop off in 12 months two) contains a few college coaches who had been fired, Steve Spurrier and Wealthy Brooks. It also options Buddy Ryan and his bombastic character getting canned in Arizona. Just below half were fired on this checklist. Nevertheless, the drama in Tampa earlier this yr absolutely will increase those odds.
Nevertheless, it says one thing that Schiano is barely fourth on this listing when he would have been public alternative #1 at mid-season.
PREDICTION: 70% GONE
three. Leslie Frazier, Minnesota Vikings
Frazier was a stabilizing issue after serving as interim coach when Brad Childress bought fired. I’m not sure he merits maintaining around for the rebuild, though.
The only coaches to take an enormous 12 months 2 leap in wins solely to fall back again had been Raheem Morris (fired), Todd Haley (fired), and Jerry Glanville (ATL) and Lindy Infante (GB), both retained for one more 12 months.
PREDICTION: 70% GONE
2. Mike Shanahan, Washington Redskins
This has been morbidly enjoyable, but certainly Dan Snyder goes to put an finish to it as soon as the season ends, despite the very giant sum of cash owed to Shanahan. I believe the two are engaged in a game of chicken, so the firing could not come within the first hours, but the must be gone.
PREDICTION: 90% GONE
1. Jim Schwartz, Detroit Lions
The most related coaching path was Dick Jauron with Chicago. Two dropping seasons for a rebuilding team, then a playoff year, then 4 wins, adopted by 7 wins. He was fired and changed by Lovie Smith.
[ASSOCIATED: Detroit Lions Censored Jim Schwartz Job Hypothesis From Postgame Presser Transcripts]
More to the point, although, I simply don’t see how Schwartz survives the collapse after expectations for this group rose. Detroit appeared to have the most effective alternative to win the NFC North, and now they’re already eliminated after a 1-5 stretch. An excessive amount of expertise (which was not the case when he arrived) to only win 11 video games in two years, and the criticism has been lack of focus and self-discipline.
PREDICTION: ninety% GONE
Baltimore Ravens (7-6) @ Detroit Lions (7-6) 12/16- 8:30PM EST
Line: DET -6.0
Monday night’s matchup will feature two football in the thick of the playoff race, but it’s the visiting Baltimore Ravens who have done what it takes to assure themselves a postseason berth.
The Ravens (7-6) currently holds the final wild-card spot in the AFC with the tie-breaker over the Miami Dolphins and a one-game lead over the Chargers and New York Jets.
Although, the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens are surging at just the right time, their road-woes continue and will look to change that on Monday night while handing the Detroit Lions another blow in the NFC North race.
Baltimore escaped with a wild one last Sunday against the Vikings 29-26 when the teams combined for 36 points in the final 2:05, with the Ravens scoring 22, including the game winner when Joe Flacco tossed a 9-yard pass to Marlon Brown with four seconds left on the clock to win it.
The Ravens go into Monday night, winners of three straight, but are only 1-5 on the road this season so far and are two games behind the North leading Cincinnati Bengals who play Sunday night at Pittsburgh.
“I think we’ve won the close games at home and we haven’t won them on the road. That’s the bottom line,” coach John Harbaugh said. ‘We’ve done the things we needed to do to win tight games at home and we haven’t done the things we’ve needed to do on the road. It’s us.”
Detroit (7-6) can’t seem to get it together… home or away, as they have dropped three of their last four after they appeared to take control of the NFC North with a big Thanksgiving win over Green Bay 40-10.
The Lions inability to close out games became evident last week at Philadelphia where they gave up 28 points in the final 15 minutes in a 34-20 loss to the Eagles, a loss that dropped the Lions into a tie with Chicago in the division. Detroit does hold the tiebreaker over the Bears thanks to a season sweep as they search for their first North title since 1993.
‘We’ll just take this slap in the face and hope it wakes us up,” cornerback Chris Houston said. “We have two straight home games and we have to go get them. We can’t get down on ourselves. We are still in a good position in our division. I think we like when our backs are against the wall.”
One problem that points to why the Lions are losing is turnovers, turnovers, turnovers, where they have given the ball away 20 times in their last six games, including a combined five giveaways in the final quarters of their last three losses.
“It’s tough to win football games when you turn the ball over,” said quarterback Matthew Stafford, who in his last four games has seven interceptions and two fumbles. “We know that. We’re doing everything that we can to correct it.”
Baltimore has to be feeling good about themselves and maybe peaking at the right time, as they will have back in action sacks-leader Elvis Dumervil after a one-game absence due to a sprained ankle.
“We’re starting to get healthier. We’re starting to put it together as a team,” Flacco said. “We just need to start putting it together for a full 60 minutes and see where it takes us.”
The game will have some controversy come Monday night and some extra motivation for the Lions after Baltimore rookie safety Matt Elam called All-Pro receiver Calvin Johnson “old” following some initial complaints.
“He’s pretty old, so I don’t know how physical he’ll be,” Elam said. “He’s a big guy, but he’s older. I guess when they get older they’re not going to be as physical, you know what I’m saying? We’re going to have to be physical, make him uncomfortable.”
Not a smart thing to say about one of the NFL’s premier receivers still, and with that the oddsmakers believe that will give the Lions the extra motivation to shut them up making them a big (minus -6.0) at home. With game time still a couple days away, get the latest spread on the game up until kickoff right here at Wonder Punter.
If Detroit running back Reggie Bush is able to return to action following a calf injury, I like their chances and will predict the Lions winning in a close one with Calvin Johnson having a big game.
“I feel good,” Bush said.

One other weekend within the books within the Premier League. Arsenal beat Cardiff Metropolis behind an Aaron Ramsey brace. The Gunners have been the large weekend winners, as they maintained its first place position and noticed would-be title contenders Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool all drop points. In the meantime Chelsea and Manchester City each gained, inching as much as second and third — four and 6 points back — respectively.
Let’s check out a pair noteworthy occurrences over the weekend, although there’s not too much time to dwell on them. There’s a full slate of video games in the midweek, together with David Moyes’ first recreation against Everton as manager of Manchester United on Wednesday.
Why Metropolis Will Most likely Still Win the Title:
The three-method Arsenal/Chelsea/City struggle will resolve the title. All three clubs are alive in the Champions League, adding a wrinkle to the chase for first place within the EPL.
City crushed Swansea Metropolis — which is feeling the consequences of being a small club enjoying in both the EPL and Europa League concurrently — Sunday at the Etihad. There are specific situations the place the street underdog approaches a match as if it has zero probability to win from the opening whistle. City’s home type has that psychological effect on opponents and it’s produced these seven scorelines this season: four-0 2-0, four-1, 3-1, 7-zero, 6-zero and three-zero.
Summer time signing Alvaro Negredo is up to six targets. He seemed like an afterthought in the summertime compared to Jesus Navas or Fernandinho, but the ex-Sevilla striker has made Edin Dzeko surplus elements. Bear in mind, Negredo value near $30 million or thereabouts so this degree of production was, you understand, anticipated from the City braintrust.
There’s also this insane stat about Metropolis’s prowess at home:
For He’s a Jol-ly Gone Fellow:
Fulham parted methods with Martin Jol after Saturday’s 3-zero loss to West Ham, which noticed the Cottagers produced a grand total of zero shots on target. It was the membership’s fifth straight defeat, throughout which Fulham scored a grand complete of two objectives as it dropped into the relegation zone. René Meulensteen, Sir Alex Ferguson’s former assistant at Manchester United, inherits the mess at Craven Cottage.
This is the uncommon coach firing the place roughly ninety nine.9 p.c of the fan base is on board with the transfer. Fulham had been going nowhere but to the Championship with Jol steering the ship. Followers needed him gone — boxed up subsequent to the Michael Jackson statue — weeks in the past.
The excellent news for Fulham? Even with the five straight losses, they’re one win away from transferring out of the relegation zone. Meulensteen ought to know the league from his time with United, which is useful.
The unhealthy? The roster Jol assembled is going to struggle even with a new man pulling the strings. It’s nearly like Jol determined to purchase a bunch of well-regarded players, hoping if he threw 11 of them on the sphere collectively something constructive would happen. It didn’t and these days the players didn’t even give much of an effort.
If nothing else, the Jol tenure proved a 4-2-three-1 system anchored by Steve Sidwell and Scott Parker in defensive midfield isn’t going to win you very many games in 2013 or 2014. (Shocker, right?). Relying on Dimitar Berbatov and Darren Bent because the lone ahead in all probability isn’t the celebration both. Each players can score, but that’s about all they do and barely make their teammates round them better.
On the very least, if I’m Meulensteen I pin guys like Ashkan Dejagah, Damien Duff, Giorgos Karagounis and Derek Boateng to the bench and discover a technique to get Bryan Ruiz and Adel Taarabt on the field more often. Breda Hangeland returning to the lineup could be a lift, too, since Fulham hasn’t won since its captain injured his leg in leg October.
Backside line, with Jol or another person as manager, Fulham goes to have to struggle for every single level this season all the way in which till May to keep away from relegation. The workforce didn’t appear up for that sort of challenge with Jol writing out the lineup. When you’re a Fulham fan you cross your fingers Meulensteen is ready to turn it round.
Credit score the place Credit score is Due Dept:
All people hates John Terry. That much we know. As eminently hate-ready as he is, Terry is placing collectively a robust season for Chelsea in the center of the Blues’ defense. Terry scored a second-half purpose to help the Blues overturn a self-inflicted halftime deficit towards Southampton. His defensive companion Gary Cahill additionally scored, so while Chelsea won't be getting much from either Fernando Torres and Demba Ba in the forward position, it nonetheless manages to eek out goals.
The previous England captain now has the second-most objectives by a defender within the Premier League-period in England.
Terry is far improved beneath Jose Mourinho and there are rumors David Luiz could possibly be out in January to Barcelona. It is a calculated threat for Chelsea. Terry is 32 and now out of the England worldwide image. He may have another 2-three solid seasons left in him. Pace has by no means been Terry’s energy. He’s a physical participant in both penalty boxes and a pacesetter on the sector. In brief, he is Chelsea. Does that make Luiz — extremely-rated initially and now very inconsistent, though talented — surplus elements?
When you possibly can money in on Luiz with out weakening the first-selection workforce, why not explore it? The club might always shift Branislav Ivanovic inside and open up right again for another place if depth is a concern. Chelsea isn’t precisely hurting for money, but a pleasant giant sum for a participant the present manager doesn’t price doesn’t hurt.
If this occurs consider it one other indication that the Terry/Frank Lampard period goes to be everlasting at Stamford Bridge. Call it the Blue version of Giggs and Scholes.
Life After Leighton:
Everton trounced Stoke Metropolis 4-0 Saturday. Most spectacular, the Toffees did it with out injured left again Leighton Baines. In his absence Costa Rican teen Bryan Oviedo performed a starring function scoring as soon as and helping on another. It was the 23-12 months-old’s his second begin since moving to England from FC Copenhagen.
With Baines consistently linked to a move away, coupled with Everton’s constant need for cash if Oviedo deputizes over the subsequent month like he did on Saturday, promoting off the membership’s top asset may not be the tip-of-the-world state of affairs it felt like in the summertime. Oviedo has an extended strategy to go, but Saturday’s exhibiting is something to construct off.
On-loan Barcelona winger Gerard Deulofeu additionally broke out for Everton Saturday. Take pleasure in him while he’s right here.
Liverpool’s Day Summed Up by One GIF:
For causes seemingly only identified to him, Liverpool supervisor Brendan Rodgers opted to play Martin Škrtel and Kolo Toure in the center of his defense Sunday vs. Hull City. The sport ended 3-1 for Hull’s first all-time victory over the Reds.
Here’s Tom Huddlestone’s objective, which ended a two-12 months scoring drought for the previous Tottenham midfielder. Huddlestone hasn’t lower his hair throughout that point. He may want to wait on a visit to the barber’s since by all rights this should be modified to a Sktrel personal purpose.
With Daniel Sturridge out for at least six weeks with an ankle damage, Rodgers and Liverpool better give you a Plan B rapidly or they'll stop desirous about a finish within the Top Four and a long-awaited trip again into the Champions League.
Hull City fans spent your complete match protesting to their Egyptian owner, who wants to alter the club’s official name to the Hull Tigers to help enhance their brand internationally. Dr. Assem Allam was quoted saying, “I don’t thoughts ‘City till we die’. They will die as quickly as they need, so long as they leave the club for almost all who simply need to watch good soccer.” Well then.
Thanks social media?

Free NFL Predictions and Pick Saints vs. Seahawks
New Orleans Saints (9-2) @ Seattle Seahawks (10-1) 12/02- 8:30PM EST
Line: SEA -4.5
Predictions for Monday night’s games has all the makings for a great one as we may get an early preview of the NFC championship as the New Orleans Saints take their high flying offense on the road to battle one of the NFL’s best defense, the Seattle Seahawks.
But, for the Seahawks (10-1), the timing couldn’t come at worse time as they will be without two of their defensive backs with highly-proficient Drew Brees leading the way for the Saints.
And with only one game separating these two top teams, New Orleans will have plenty incentive to end the Seahawks franchise-best 13-game winning streak at home and put themselves in position to have home-field position throughout the playoffs.
Seattle, winners of six straight and coming off a bye week, learned that they will be without cornerback Walter Thurmond who was officially suspended Tuesday for violating the league’s substance abuse policy and must serve a four game suspension.
To add to Seattle’s woes, the will also be without starting cornerback Brandon Browner because of a groin injury.
It’s a major blow for the Seahawks who go in tied with Buffalo with an NFL’s-best 16 interceptions and have forced a league-high 26 turnovers to this point.
“We’re still trying to work through it. I’ll say it again, I’ve always found myself looking for guys that maybe other people don’t see something special in and we take a chance on a guy here or there that needs some extra consideration and care,” coach Pete Carroll said. “And sometimes guys have issues and things pop up but I’ve always been kind of hopeful and make guys find the best in them and bring it out. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t.”
The numbers on Brees are impressive as he looks to lead his team to a huge road win. Brees is second only to Peyton Manning in passing yards (3,647) and touchdowns (28), but Bress is a different quarterback on the road versus the friendly confines of home.
19 touchdowns in six home games compared to 9 TDs in five road games and his three lowest output in passing yards have also come away from the Superdome.
The Saints are not only are trying to gain ground on Seattle for a No. 1 seed, but also stay ahead of second-place Carolina for the NFC South title.
New Orleans is 0-5 in road playoff games, so getting home-field advantage in the playoffs is vital… but Saints coach Sean Payton says his team is ready regardless of where they have to play come playoff time…
I think it’s a typical stereotype with a dome team,” Payton said. “I don’t know what else to tell someone than to do some research and bring back some numbers and I’ll answer a question.”
The Saints are 0-3 on the road under coach Sean Payton, including a 41-36 defeat to a 7-9 Seahawks team back in the 2010 season when New Orleans was 11-5.
It’s the Saints vulnerability on the road that has the oddsmakers making the home-town Seahawks a (minus) -4.5 point favorite. I expect the line to move as the game gets closer, so be sure to check the latest spread here through Wonder Punter up until kickoff.
With the Saints allowing a fourth-worst mark of 4.8 yards rushing, look for Seattle to give the ball to Marshawn Lynch often as he is fourth in the league with 84.1 yards rushing per game.
Seattle quarterback sensation Russell Wilson is looking for his first ever matchup against Drew Bress…. A favorite of his before entering the draft.
“I know everyone compares our heights and everything, but the thing that I admire about him is his leadership, attention to detail, his competitive nature,” Wilson said. “He is very clutch. He is very poised in big situations.”
Wilson will have to contend with a Saints defense that is one of the best with 37 sacks… led the way by defensive Cameron Jordan’s 9½.
I expect a great game with both teams playing with a sense of urgency as the they battle for playoff positioning and the inside track for home-field advantage come playoff time.
“Every game that we play is a championship game,” Carroll said. “You never know which one is going to be the one that you look back on and say, ‘Boy, if we’d have got that one, we would’ve had this or that.’ So we play every one of them like it’s the biggest game in the world.”
Tough call on this one…. but I Predict it will go with the Saints in a close one as they need to prove they can win a big-one on the road.

PICK: San Antonio

The Bulls are in a second of a back-to-back and now no Derrick Rose for an extended period of time… but they should still have enough to beat the lowly Jazz.
New York Knicks (3-9) @ Portland Trailblazers (12-2) 11/25- 10:00PM EST
Line: POR -8.0
Clearly two teams headed in opposite directions. Knicks winless in five and a total mess right now… Blazers unbeaten in five and play extremely well at home.

A rematch between UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Johny Hendricks will occur, in response to UFC President Dana White, and the battle could place on the promotion’s annual Memorial Day weekend event in Las Vegas.
In an interview Monday with the LA Instances, White stated St-Pierre is taking a vacation “off the grid,” however not a hiatus from the sport as he originally announced following his break up-name win over Hendricks at this previous Saturday’s UFC 167.
“As far as a rematch, we’re on schedule and I’ll have a date inside a pair weeks,” White said. “I really feel assured that Georges is fine with that and all is on monitor.”
St-Pierre’s post-fight speech initially introduced anger from White, who said following the occasion that the champ owed a rematch to Hendricks in mild of the first bout’s controversial scorecard. The UFC president later calmed down after a private assembly with St-Pierre and expressed confidence that a rematch would happen.
St-Pierre defended his title a ninth time by winning three rounds on two of three judges’ scorecards at the pay-per-view occasion, which happened at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Backyard Area and was overseen by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.
The combat’s first round proved to be pivotal in the last tally, as NSAC judges Tony Weeks and Sal D’Amato gave St-Pierre (25-2 MMA, 19-2 UFC) the frame while judge Glenn Trowbridge gave it to Hendricks (15-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC). The welterweights cut up the remaining 4 rounds.
White blasted the scores and the NSAC, but on Monday clarified the occasions, “it’s not the commissioners who I have an issue with. I’ve nice respect for the commissioners. I truthfully consider change goes to occur, that the athletic commissioners in Nevada will fix the problem.”
The battle was the toughest problem of St-Pierre’s reign as champion, trainer Firas Zahabi on Monday told MMAjunkie. The champion was badly marked up after the struggle and received stitches under his proper eye. Zahabi said he additionally sustained a punch to the attention that robbed him of his sight in the course of the bout.
At UFC 167′s publish-occasion press conference, St-Pierre stated he was “going loopy” and dropping sleep in dealing with private points that he declined to determine. On Monday, White stated the 32-yr-previous fighter refuted a TMZ report that his issues stemmed from an unplanned pregnancy and the illness of his father.
“(St-Pierre) is denying these rumors that TMZ is reporting about those two things,” White stated.
UFC 167 drew a stay gate of $5.7 million, making it the second most profitable MMA event in Nevada history. The pay-per-view proceeds are also anticipated to earn hundreds of thousands for the UFC, which implies a rematch may additionally do massive enterprise.
Per the NSAC, St-Pierre is suspended till Jan. 1, 2014, while Hendricks may very well be out for six months except cleared for a right knee subject.
For full protection of UFC 167, try the UFC Events part of the location.
New England Patriots (7-3)- 20
Carolina Panthers (7-3)- 24
Line: CAR -3.0
As the game ended in controversy on Monday night which saw the Carolina Panthers win their sixth straight, Tom Brady and the Patriots were left wondering why a penalty on the final play was reversed giving the Panthers a 24-20 win.
Cam Newton hit Ted Ginn Jr. with a 25-yard touchdown pass with 59 seconds left and the defense held off the Patriots as a flag on a pass interference call that was in the end zone got picked up to end the game.
The winning drive by Newton went 83 yards on 13 plays for the go-ahead touchdown with 59 seconds left. The Patriots had a chance to win when Brady moved his team to the Carolina 18 and fired into the end zone on the final play.
The pass was intercepted by safety Robert Lester, but a flag was thrown on an apparent pass interference by Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly on tight end Rob Gronkowski by interfering with grabbing him with both hands. The officials then huddled up and decide to reverse the penalty call.
“There was no explanation given to me. Officials ran off the field. I didn’t see anything,” Patriots coach Bill Belichick said. “It was the last play of the game. There was a flag thrown and then the game was over.”
An angry Brady ran over to the officials to argue but to no avail as they walked off the field.
“He was kind of weaving in and out of there. I didn’t really want to throw it over his head and out of bounds, so I was a little indecisive,” Brady said. “It wasn’t’ a great throw. No excuses. Should have been a better throw.”
The Panthers (7-3) will take the win.
“We had good pressure and our safety Robert Lester was in a good position to make the play,” coach Ron Rivera said.
Brady was 20 of 40 for 296 yards and one touchdown for the Patriots (7-3).
Newton completed 19 of 28 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another 62 yards on seven rushes.
Coach Rivera called his teams performance a “gutsy effort.”
“It wasn’t our best defensive effort, but it was one of our better offensive efforts,” Rivera said. “It was good for our guys to win a game like this.”
Great ballgame with an even better ending, but in the end, Cam Newton did what he needed to do to lead the Panthers to another win to stay one game back of New Orleans for first place in the NFC South.
“Cam did the things he needed to do to put us in position to win the football game.,” Rivera said. “It has a lot to do with the maturity that we have talked about.”
The Patriots at 7-3 are still two games ahead of the Jets in the AFC East.

Amid all of the pandemonium of the almost two-hour inclement weather delay in Chicago and the Bears subsequent extra time victory on Sunday, Ravens common supervisor Ozzie Newsome left Soldier Discipline by ambulance shortly after the game after not feeling effectively.
Although Newsome did not travel house along with his crew, the Ravens introduced Monday that the 57-year-outdated Newsome was on his option to Baltimore and that he was “feeling advantageous.”
Ozzie is expected again in the Ravens’ office and on the treadmill soon.
— Baltimore Ravens (@Ravens) November 18, 2013
Newsome informed the Baltimore Sun that his checks came again regular and that he would return to the workplace Monday to watch sport film.
On Sunday, a WSNT reporter tweeted that he was in an elevator with Newsome and that the GM was “sweating profusely.” In a while Sunday, the Ravens said, “Ozzie Newsome did not feel effectively after right now’s recreation and a workforce doctor really helpful that Ozzie not fly tonight.”

NFL Free Pick and Prediction for the New England vs Carolina game, Week 11
New England Patriots (7-2) @ Carolina Panthers (6-3) 11/18- 8:30PM EST
Line: CAR -2.5
Monday night, the New England Patriots will go on the road to face a Carolina Panthers team that is riding a five-game win streak and now claims the NFC’s stingiest defense.
With new a new group of receivers under Tom Brady’s helm, the challenge of putting up the numbers of year’s past has been any but fun as his inexperienced targets have dropped 12.2 percent of catchable balls for the league’s worst mark.
Coming off their bye week after routing the Pittsburgh Steelers 55-31, the Patriots (7-2) will now face a Panthers defense yielding only 12.8 points per game and last week beat the 49ers 10-9 on the road to move one-game behind the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South.
“They’re one the best defenses in the league,” Brady said. “We have to play really well. I think our execution has to be the best.”
During their five-game win streak, the Panthers have outscored their opponents 140-57 as they go for six in a row… a feat that was accomplished back in 2005.
Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, who earned conference defensive player of the week honors for an 11-tackle performance as part of a defense that sacked Colin Kaepernick six times will be facing Tom Brady for the first time on Monday night.
“Tom Brady is a very cerebral guy, he’s been around a while, he knows where he’s going with the ball, he’s smart, he understands defenses,” Kuechly said. “So we’ve just got to do a good job of playing our job, doing our responsibilities and make sure we’re in the right spot.”
The Panthers defense also has 13 takeaways that tie for the league’s most and allows an average of only 82.0 yards on the ground for the NFL’s second-lowest mark.
On the Panther’s offensive side of the ball, third year quarterback Cam Newton is getting it done in all aspects.
“He’s playing well efficiently. He does a good job,” said Panthers coach Bill Belichick about Newton. “He’s obviously a threat with the ball in his hands to run. He can make all the throws. He can put the ball on the sideline.”
With Carolina averaging 120.4 yards rushing per game, the running game is another aspect the Panthers will be looking to take advantage of against the Pats as they are third-worst in the NFL allowing 128.2 yards per contest.
Coach Bilichick believes his team will be well prepared for Newton having already faced Buffalo’s EJ Manuel and the Jets’ Geno Smith.
“I think that a lot of the plays that Carolina runs we’ve seen from Buffalo and the Jets,” Belichick said. “The fact that we have seen some of those plays, we’ve worked on the basic blocking schemes and how to fit on them, where everybody needs to be.”
Yet, despite all the numbers pointing to the Panthers on the Monday night, the lines spread has them only (minus) -2.5 point favorites over the Patriots, but as always, be sure to check the odds here at Wonder Punter up until kickoff as they might change.
Defensively, the Patriots are getting it done with 29 sacks, which matches the Panthers. Chandler Jones for the Pats has 8 ½ sacks to lead the team.
Greg Hardy of the Panthers has six sacks to help the defense.
“That’s our style of defense,” Hardy said. “We dominate. We take what we want. We do what we want.”
I expect a great game on Monday night, and give the Panthers the edge, however Tom Brady has an impressive 13-4 mark on Monday nights.
“Monday Night Football is always pretty cool, especially when you play a really good team on Monday Night Football” he said. It’s a fun night.”

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Line: MIA -1.0
Miami Dolphins (4-5)- 19
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-8)- 22
Line: MIA -2.5
With Monday night’s victory, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-8) joined the Jacksonville Jaguars (who won on Sunday) as the last of the remaining teams to win an NFL game as they held the Miami Dolphins (4-5) to a whopping 2 yards rushing on the night for a 22-19 victory to assure themselves a winless season and avoid their 5th 0-9 start in franchise history.
It was rookie quarterback Mike Glennon’s 1-yard touchdown toss to tackle Donald Penn that made the difference as the Buc’s defense held on the final 10 minutes to give them a much deserved victory.
Glennon finished 11 of 21 for 139 yards, with one touchdown and one interception in his sixth pro start.
Much can be said about the Miami Dolphins mindset coming in with the swirling controversy regarding allegations of daily harassment on tackle Jonathan Martin (who has since left the team) by veteran guard Richie Incognito (who has since been suspended) pending a formal NFL investigation.
Nonetheless, the Buccaneers will take it any way they can.
“It’s good to stand up here after a win,” Bucs coach Greg Schiano said. “We have to build off this.”
Miami (4-5) was down early 15-0, before coming back to take a 19-15 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
But, Tampa’s defense stepped-up sacking Ryan Tannehill twice on Miami’s final possession before Darrelle Revis picked-off Tannehill’s pass on a fourth-down attempt intended for Mike Wallace with 1:35 remaining.
“We have good guys on this team who understand adversity and understand how to handle it,” Tannehill said. “This is a good test. I’m not saying it’s easy. I’m not saying it’s fun to deal with. But I have faith in these guys.”
Believe it or not, but the Buccaneers have not been all bad this year despite their record.. in four of their losses, they held fourth-quarter leads before losing in the final 89 seconds of regulation or overtime.
This time, they learned how to finish.
“It had the same feeling going down the stretch,” Schiano said. “But our guys bowed up and made some plays.”
Miami owner Stephen Ross broke his silence regarding the bullying scandal that has given the Miami Dolphins a black-eye around the nation.
“We need to look at ourselves. We have to examine everything internally,” Ross said. “This is so appalling to me. I know I’m capable of overreacting. I want to get everybody’s feedback because we all know the football locker room is a different workplace than most of us are accustomed to. I don’t want to make any excuses.”
Ross has since formed an independent advisory group to review organizational conduct policies and to make recommendations on areas for improvement. Tony Dungy, Don Shula, Dan Marino, Jason Taylor and Curtis Martin are included in that group.
With the lack of a running game, the Dolphins became a one dimensional team.
Tannehill went 27 of 42 for 229 yards, two touchdowns and a game ending interception.
“We moved the ball well through the air but we didn’t have any balance. That caught up to us at the end of the game,” Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said.
“There’s a lot of football left to be played. November and December is going to determine who moves forward,” Philbin said. “We have to learn from the mistakes we made and prepare better and play better.”
Tough night and an even tougher week for the Miami Dolphins.
To be continued….

Thomas, Peyton Lead Broncos Past Chargers
SAN DIEGO – Denver quarterback Peyton Manning will bear an MRI on Monday after taking a number of big hits in the Broncos’ win in opposition to San Diego at Qualcomm Stadium on Sunday, including a low hit from Chargers defensive end Corey Liuget with 1:forty four to play.
“I’m pretty sore,” Manning mentioned following the 28-20 victory. “They obtained me twice in that lower area. I felt higher coming into the sport after the bye week, but I am pretty sore.”
Peyton Manning said he was “fairly sore” after taking a number of hits from the Chargers protection, together with this one low on his body near the top of the Broncos’ victory Sunday.
Manning was hit just after he threw a 7-yard completion to Demaryius Thomas for a first down within the recreation’s closing minutes. Manning stayed on the bottom following the play, and the Broncos’ trainers briefly attended to him.
Trainers shortly looked at his right ankle and Manning was flexing his right leg throughout the timeout the Broncos have been assessed following the play. The Broncos are believed to wish to have an MRI on Manning’s knee as properly.
Manning stayed in the sport and finished issues out, but he was limping slightly in the locker room afterward.
Manning wouldn’t specify what he injured, saying, “Lower body, [I] really feel like the injury report could be very revealing to the opponent in addition to the parents in Vegas, so I assume someplace in that lower physique.”
Manning was then asked if the damage was one thing he must take care of for the remainder of the season.
“I hope not, I would like to have the ability to shake it,” he said.
Manning who spoke to the workforce’s medical employees as quickly as he entered the locker room after the game, said the doctors informed him he can have the MRI on Monday morning. The Broncos are scheduled to have their normal meetings, but won’t have their first on-subject apply of the week till Wednesday.
“It is just what the docs said, and I had one a couple weeks in the past,” Manning stated. “And so took a couple hits right this moment, so simply sort of replace to see what it says. Hopefully it’s no change.”
Liuget stated it wasn’t an intentional hit.
“I used to be attempting to get to him as a result of I knew how important it might be to us as a protection to get to him,” he mentioned. “I used to be simply working it and attempting to be the guy. I’m unsure how I caught him however I hope he’s OK. It is not anything that is going to stop him from being Peyton Manning.”
The Broncos will face the NFL’s sack leaders – the Kansas City Chiefs – next Sunday night in Denver. When asked if he would play against the Chiefs, Manning paused barely earlier than saying, “I undoubtedly plan on it.”
Main as much as the Broncos’ win over the Washington Redskins, just before Denver’s bye week, Manning missed a day of follow with two sprained ankles he suffered within the staff’s loss to Indianapolis. He then practiced for the remainder of that week and played against Washington. The Broncos then held Manning out of their two practices in the course of the bye week, however he practiced day by day this past week.
Manning finished the win against the Chargers 25-of-36 passing for 330 yards and 4 touchdowns. It was his eighth 300-yard sport of the season and his fifth recreation with no less than 4 touchdowns.
Miami Dolphins (4-4) @ Tampa Bay (0-8) 11/11- 8:30PM EST
Line: MIA -1.0
With the Miami Dolphins going through a week of bad headlines surrounding alleged internal harassment between players and now a league investigation, can the Miami Dolphins stay focused on playing a full 60-minutes of football against the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night? here is the prediction
“Right now we’re focused on sticking together as a team, having each others backs as a team, and getting ready to play a football game,” Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill said. “At the end of the day, we’re playing a Tampa Bay team on the road on Monday. So we have to deal with this, yes, but we also have to get ready to play a football game.”
At stake for the Dolphins (4-4) is to get back to winning football as they seek their second straight win and look to get back in the playoff hunt.
The Dolphins won their first three games to start the season, then dropped four straight before winning last week at home against the Bengals in OT.
“You never want to lose four games in a row,” coach Joe Philbin said. “And we had an excellent football team coming in town. It was time for us to step up and we had to make a decision—what are we going to be? And I thought they answered the bell pretty well.”
Protection will be an issue for the Dolphins who will be without offensive linemen Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito sidelined. Martin left the team before last week’s game due to alleged bullying by Incognito, who was suspended indefinitely this week.
For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-8), they are coming off one of their better games last week giving Seattle all they can handle before blowing a fourth-quarter lead for the fourth time this season and falling to the Seahawks 27-24.
“Tough loss, but there’s a lot of good things on that tape. … Things we can build off of,” coach Greg Schiano said.
One thing to build on is the 24 points scored against a great Seahawks defense… which was a season-best for the Bucs. They rank second to last in points per game (15.5) and yards per game (304.4).
Rookie quarterback Mike Gleenon has shown great improvement over the last three games with five touchdowns and no interceptions.
Another bright spot has been rookie running back Mike James who ran for a career-high 158 yards on 28 carries filling in for the injured Doug Martin.
“Those are things that are getting us excited and encouraged,” Schaino said. “Three games without an interception. That’s how we have to play the game. I’m mad at myself for not getting us there sooner.”
The oddsmakers are also encouraged by the Bucs recent play by giving the Dolphins a slight advantage with the spread with a (minus) -1.0 for the Dolphins. Be sure to visit Wonder Punter before game time to place your bet on Monday’s game.
Tampa Bay has also won the last two at home versus the Dolphins and three of four against them.
With the betting line as close as it is, I feel the Buccaneers are ready to upset the Dolphins and notch their first victory of the season.
PICK: Tampa Bay

Philbin won’t reply questions about what happened until the NFL concludes its investigation. (USATSI)Dolphins coach Joe Philbin met with the media Monday, every week after sort out Jonathan Martin left the crew amid reports that he had been bullied by teammate Richie Incognito, and a day after the coach suspended Incognito indefinitely.
In the course of the press conference, Philbin laid out the timeline of occasions of the final seven days, explained why the group waited till Sunday to suspend Incognito, and said that he wouldn’t reply any questions about exactly what occurred until the NFL’s investigation into the matter concludes.
Below are excerpts from the press convention.
“Last Monday night, Jonathan Martin left our facility.. after an incident occurred in our workforce dining room,” Philbin said. “Later that night he contacted a member of our group. Quickly thereafter, I contacted Jonathan personally, requested a meeting with him, which he readily accepted. I met with him later that evening, we had a great discussion. Throughout the course of the week, I was involved on a number of occasions with him and members of his household…
“Early on Sunday, we released a statement that was 100% factual. Soon thereafter, we have been contacted by representatives with Jonathan – earlier than I say that I should let you know: In all my discussions with Jonathan and members of his family, at no time have been there any accusations or allegations of misconduct by any members of this staff or this organization.
“Later on Sunday, we were contacted by one in all his representatives. They in actual fact had some concerns over player conduct that occurred. We immediately took these concerns very, very critically. Our owner, Stephen Ross, who had been involved all through the entire process, contacted the commissioner, Roger Goodell, and requested that the NFL develop into involved and conduct a assessment of the office.
“We issued a second statement noting that we have obtained data that we were taking very critically… Throughout the course of the day we gathered an increasing number of info. At the finish of the day, I made a decision to suspend Richie Incognito primarily based on the knowledge I had at that time.
“The NFL is going to conduct a review of the workplace. It is going to be complete, it may be goal, and we’re going to give our full and complete cooperation with the NFL. That is really where things are as of right this moment.
“I would like you to know that as the top coach of the Miami Dolphins, I am answerable for the office ambiance. Since April 10, 2012 when the gamers first came right here and I was the top coach, each determination I’ve made and all the things we’ve performed to this facility has been done with one factor in mind. And that’s to assist our players and our organization reach their full potential. And any kind of conduct or behavior that detracts from that goal will not be acceptable and isn’t tolerated…
“I take this duty very significantly. That these gamers, after they stroll into these doorways, feel like they have one of the best medical care, the very best power-and-conditioning care, one of the best coaching, the very best fields to apply on, the very best expertise, the perfect classrooms to be taught in. That is crucial to me. I’ll tell you that if the [NFL’s] evaluation exhibits that this is not a protected atmosphere I will take no matter measures are mandatory to make sure that it’s. I’ve that obligation to the gamers that I coach every day.”
Philbin, when asked if he has spoken to Incognito:
“Any conversations that I have with any player on this football workforce are personal and confidential in nature.”
Did Philbin have any idea, before final Monday, that this case was changing into severe?
“That falls under what the NFL assessment is here for.. I need to make clear, my focus proper now is getting ready the boys in the locker room to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I’ll give my full and complete and whole cooperation with the NFL. When that takes place, I don’t have the timeline on that… What I might like to ensure everyone understands is that there are usually not going to be comments during the course of this investigation until we get all the data and are available together on that info.”
Philbin was asked if he thought Incognito’s behavior within the group’s look on Exhausting Knocks in the course of the 2012 preseason was an indication that he may be a bully:
“I by no means noticed [the show]… I used to be working at that time.”
Philbin on why Incoginto was a member of the crew’s management council:
“The leadership council is chosen by the gamers. I’ve plenty of confidence in our gamers. I’ve a number of confidence in our locker room, the character of the men we have within the locker room. And he was chosen by his teammates.”
Philbin was asked about Incognito’s voicemail to Martin, which includes racial slurs, but the coach would solely say “that falls beneath the overview of the NFL.”
Finally, the coach was requested if the final 4 days have been miserable.
“Absolutely not,” he mentioned. “It is a privilege to serve as the pinnacle coach of the Miami Dolphins. I feel lucky each single day I come to work. I work with an important group of males.”
BOSTON – The beards are coming off for World Sequence Most Beneficial Player David Ortiz and outfielder Shane Victorino.
The 2 Pink Sox gamers will shave Monday as a part of a promotion.
Shane Victorino will be part of David Ortiz subsequent week at Gillette headquarters in Boston as part of a shave-off promotion of their in style beards.
Immediately well-known bullpen policeman Steve Horgan and a fan chosen by social media will join them throughout a shave-off at Gillette headquarters in Boston.
The Red Sox players’ beards turned a symbol of their solidarity as they went from worst to first and won the group’s third World Collection title in 10 years.
Horgan turned a fixture in Boston after he was photographed together with his arms within the air celebrating Ortiz’s grand slam in the American League Championship Collection towards Detroit.
Whether or not or not to keep the beards had been a a lot-debated question amongst group members.
Purple Sox catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia said prior to Sport 6 on Wednesday at Fenway Park that he isn’t shaving his, including that with the exception of just a few gamers who are getting married this offseason, the guys need to preserve them.
One other bearded Pink Sox participant felt strongly about shaving for charity. In line with one crew official, there was some inside debate about the beards.
There’s one thing you possibly can guess on: The beards might be out in pressure for Saturday’s rolling rally.
“I think they are going to be carrying the beards they’ve been carrying. We don’t monitor very carefully the shaving patterns or habits of our players,” Purple Sox president Larry Lucchino stated Thursday.
NFL Monday Night Preview/Pick- Bears vs. Packers
Chicago Bears (4-3) @ Green Bay Packers (5-2) 11/04- 8:30PM EST
Line: GB -10.5
The Chicago Bears will have their work cut out for them on Monday night as they travel into Lambeau Field to try to end a six-game losing streak to a team that has also has won four-straight at home… the Green Bay Packers.
The hurdle facing the Bears is that they will be without the services of quarterback Jay Cutler and linebacker Lance Briggs.
Green Bay (5-2) has won six in a row against Chicago (4-3) and five straight meetings at Lambeau and will look to open the gap in the NFC North.
Aaron Rodgers is 9-2 against the Bears and seems to be hitting his stride after a slow start to start the season.
Chicago comes off a bye week having lost three of its last four and will be without Cutler (groin) and Briggs (shoulder). Cutler is expected back soon where Briggs is expected to still miss more then a month.
“We really have to play together more then ever now,” coach Marc Trestman said. “And I think that’s something that we’re capable of doing.”
Despite the Bears being without their two top players, Green Bay is not taking them for granted.
“We need to prepare and stay focused on our opponent and the changes they’ve made,” Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said. “At the end of the week, we want to make sure we’re focused on winning and that our quality of play is as high as possible.”
Veteran quarterback Josh McCown will be making his first start for the Bears since the 2011 season where he went 1-1.
“Josh is going to do the job,” Cutler said. “We’ve got a good game plan coming in. Josh fared well against (Washington). He’ll play well again this week.”
McCown will rely on his best weapons for a balanced attack such as running back Matt Forte and receiver Brandon Marshall to help put some points on the board and take some of the pressure off a banged-up defense.
Green Bay has had their share of injuries on the offensive side of the ball missing receivers Randall Cobb, James Jones and tight-end Jermichael Finley but yet has continued to dominate offensively with Jordy Nelson and rookie running back Eddie Lacy.
“We’ve got a great team, very well-coached.,” Rodgers said. “Guys are ready to play.”
Lacy has been a bright-spot for the Packers running game this season averaging 98.8 yards in his last four.
“They’re statistics,” McCarthy said. “There’s one statistic that counts (winning the Super Bowl) and we’re working our way toward it, and we’re a long way from it.
“Running the ball’s part of it.”
I expect another well played game from the Packers on Monday night taking advantage of the depleted Chicago Bears with their injuries to the defensive side of the ball and no Jay Cutler.
