Power Rankings NFL week 12

Last night’s Monday night game brought to an end of another exciting week in football in which some teams improved their Power Rankings and others continued to fall as quarterback injuries have taken their toll. Week 11 also brought the end of the NFL’s only unbeaten team when Kansas City fell to the Broncos.

Here is this week’s Week 12 Power Rankings for teams 1-32 with records and last week’s ranking.

Place your bets here upto $1000 signup bonus

1 Denver Broncos (9-1 LW: 2)- Round 1 goes to the Broncos… rematch with KC in two weeks.

2 Seattle Seahawks (10-1 LW: 3) Other then a home game against the Saints, they should be able to run the table the rest of the way.

3 New Orleans Saints (8-2 LW: 4)- Undefeated at home so far… but the playoffs may mean winning on the road.

4 Carolina Panthers (7-3 LW: 6)- Beating quality teams now and only getting better.

5 Kansas City Chiefs (9-1 LW: 1)- Still a solid team on defense… but the offense will need to get better if they expect to make some noise in the playoffs.

6 New England Patriots (7-3 LW: 5)- Patriots are still looking for the flag… they got earlier in the year against the Saints. So…

7 Indianapolis Colts (7-3 LW: 7)- Good comeback win at Tennessee, but I still think Rams game.

8 San Francisco 49ers (6-4 LW: 8)- They were so close to being 8-2…. Two tough games in a row.

9 Cincinnati Bengals (7-4 LW: 10)- Their win on Sunday should put them in position for the AFC North crown and a first-round bye.

10 Detroit Lions (6-4 LW 9)- Can we do the fake field goal play over again?

11 Chicago Bears (6-4 LW: 12)- Big home win over the Ravens.. which Rams team will they face on Sunday?

12 Philadelphia Eagles (6-4 LW: 13)- Finally a team in the NFC East is playing like they want to win it.. Nick Foles getting it done.

13 New York Jets (5-5 LW: 13)- Jekyll and Hyde if you ask me… we just don’t know what team will show up on Sundays.

14 Arizona Cardinals (6-4 LW: 16)- Winning games despite no running game and a QB who’s thrown more INTs then TDs.

15 Miami Dolphins (5-5 LW: 21)- Gritty performance and win against San Diego with all the distractions staring at them.

16 San Diego Chargers (4-6 LW: 17)- If they could just finish games… but now they still have three games left against the Chiefs and Broncos.

17 Dallas Cowboys (5-5 LW: 15)- Big game against the resurgent Giants Sunday on the road.

18 Green Bay Packers (5-5 LW: 14)- No Aaron Rodgers…. No hope!

19 Pittsburgh Steelers (4-6 LW: 25)- Is this the same Steelers team who we all left for dead earlier? Held the Lions scoreless in the second half.

20 Cleveland Browns (4-6 LW: 18)- Big home game on Sunday against the Steelers. If they win… maybe still a chance?

21 Buffalo Bills (4-7 LW: 27)- Winnable games coming up against the Bucs, Falcons, Jags and Dolphins… Wildcard? hmmm maybe.

22 Baltimore Ravens (4-6 LW: 19)- Failing to score on first-and-goal at the Chicago 5-yard line. Story of the year for the offense.

23 St Louis Rams (4-6 LW 20)- In a division with Seattle and San Francisco… it’s tough.

24 New York Giants (4-6 LW: 26)- Four wins in a row now with Dallas coming up.

25 Oakland Raiders (4-6 LW: 24)- Is Matt McGloin the answer at quarterback?

26 Tennessee Titans (4-6 LW: 22)- How big do the losses to the Jags and Colts look now in an AFC race that’s up for grabs.

27 Washington Redskins (3-7 LW: 23)- So much for running the tables like last year.

28 Houston Texans (2-8 LW: 28)- Still playing hard… that’s all you could ask for at this point.

29 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-8 LW: 31) Two in a row… and they had some winnable games throughout the season.

30. Atlanta Falcons (2-8 LW: 29)- Unlike the Texans, this is a football that has quit on everybody. Embarrassing!

31 Minnesota Vikings (2-8 LW: 30)- Playing for a quarterback in next year’s draft.

32 Jacksonville Jaguars (1-9 LW 32)- It was fun while it lasted.

Two defenses fantasy football players must own for the playoffs

Buffalo Bills DT Marcell Dareus
Marcell Dareus will muscle OLs

In the event you’re in stable place to make your fantasy soccer playoffs, it is time to begin planning forward, stashing useful players in your bench.

Or on this case, defenses. Within the Fantasy Sports activities Writers Affiliation Trade Insiders League – a one hundred twenty-workforce, 10-division battle royale – it appears to be like like I’ll make the postseason, a 40-staff, multi-stage survivor collection, so to speak.

I don’t usually carry two DTs except it is a formidably deep league like this one. I’ve completed so now as a result of I need to save a hammer FAAB bid for the postseason, and it helps to get a bounce on any benefit doable.

Ergo, I’ve paired the Houston Texans with the Buffalo Bills. Take a look at their remaining schedules by means of the standard fantasy playoffs.

Check out all those Jacksonville Jaguars duels. Squee.

When picking a DT, I focus a lot much less on factors allowed and as an alternative on the ditch matchups, and for these two golf equipment, I’m optimistic on how their respective defensive traces will overpower their opponents’ front five for many of these contests.

As for the midrange tilts: Geno Smith could torment the Bills’ secondary, however the New York Jets rook should be sacked a bunch within the process. The Atlanta Falcons’ offensive line ought to be weak enough to control, but with Roddy White transferring back into type, there’s extra threat than there was only a few weeks ago. Of course, smart betters usually go against Matt Ryan on the street.

The Indianapolis Colts’ absence of Reggie Wayne hasn’t stopped them in latest weeks, and T.Y. Hilton labored Houston the last time he confronted them. But with Gary Kubiak returning, it’s going to be helpful for Wade Phillips to give attention to simply D once more with out the crew being in second-half chaos.

I dig how the remainder of these matchups play out. Maybe the Denver Broncos will be in position to relaxation their playmakers, together with Peyton Manning (ankle), however I’ll wait on that one.

The Bills are still widely obtainable (sixty five percent of leagues I polled) and even Houston, who’s only unfastened in 22 percent, might still be snagged in a number of video games (for J.J. Watt alone).

Tim’s work has been featured by USA Today/Sports activities Weekly, amongst numerous outlets, and recognized as a finalist within the Fantasy Sports Writers Affiliation awards. The Boston College alum competes in Tout Wars and LABR and has won a number of trade leagues in both baseball and soccer.

Throughout baseball and football season, hear him every Wednesday on 1570 AM WNST in Baltimore. On Thursdays, he visits 106.1 FM WMTI in New Orleans and Sirius XM Fantasy Sports activities Radio, the place he typically crashes different exhibits, as nicely.

NFL Predictions Week 11 Preview and Picks

free-nfl-picks3

Free NFL Picks and predictions for Week 11

NFL Week 11 is going to be another great week of NFL games with the four big ones in my opinion being Cleveland @ Cincinnati, San Francisco @ New Orleans, Kansas City @ Denver (Sunday night) and New England @ Carolina (Monday night). Here is my quick preview for each game along with the spread and my pick/prediction for each match-up. Remember, you can check the latest lines and place your favorite bet(s) right here through Wonder Punter. Good Luck!

New York Jets (5-4) @ Buffalo Bills (3-7) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: Even

Over/Under: 40.5

With the Jets coming off their bye week, I have to think they will play the better game and expected a little from the Bills to this point. If Geno Smith is on…

PICK: NYJ

Baltimore Ravens (4-5) @ Chicago Bears (5-4) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: CHI -3.0

Over/Under: 45.0

The Ravens are coming off a big home win last Sunday against a Cincinnati team without much offensive production. The Bears will be without Jay Cutler. Still like the Bears in this one being at home.

PICK: Chicago

Cleveland Browns (4-5) @ Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: CIN -6.0

Over/Under: 42.0

The Bengals have lost back-to-back games in overtime and lost the last meeting with Cleveland but will go with Cincy in this one to get it done.

PICK: Cincinnati

Washington Redskins (3-6) @ Philadelphia Eagles (5-5) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: PHI -4.5

Over/Under: 53.0

Too much at stake for the Eagles with a chance to get into sole possession of first place with a win and Nick Foles has been great the last two weeks.

PICK: Philadelphia

Detroit Lions (6-3) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: DET -2.5

Over/Under: 47.0

The Steelers have been playing better ball since their ‘rock bottom’ game a few weeks backs, but with a healthy Lions duo of Stafford/Johnson… I like the Lions on the road.

PICK: Detroit
BetOnline
Atlanta Falcons (2-7) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-8) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: EVEN

Over/Under: 43.0

The ‘experts’ have it even.. I kind of agree. With a very disappointing Falcons team this year, can the Bucs win two in a row?

PICK: Atlanta

Arizona Cardinals (5-4) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: ARI -8.5

Over/Under: 41.0

As long as the Cardinals don’t have a ‘let-down’ game, they should win easily.

PICK: Arizona

Oakland Raiders (3-6) @ Houston Texans (2-7) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: HOU -7.0

Over/Under: 41.5

Texans head coach Gary Kubiak is back, Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor is questionable…. seems like a Texans win to me.

PICK: Houston

San Diego Chargers (4-5) @ Miami Dolphins (4-5) 11/17- 4:05PM EST

Line: SD -1.0

Over/Under: 45.5

Always tough for a West Coast team to travel East and play but with the Dolphins in the midst of controversy… can they stay focused?

PICK: San Diego

San Francisco 49ers (6-3) @ New Orleans Saints (7-2) 11/17- 4:25PM EST

Line: NO -3.0

Over/Under: 47.5

I expect a better performance this week from the 49ers, but New Orleans is just a very good team in the Dome. Should be a good. Too much Saints.

PICK: New Orleans

Minnesota Vikings (2-7) @ Seattle Seahawks (9-1) 11/17- 4:25PM EST

Line: SEA -12.0

Over/Under: 45.5

After last week’s solid road performance, I think the Seahawks have shaken off their two-week funk with those close victories.

PICK: Seattle

Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) @ Denver Broncos (8-1) 11/17- 8:30PM EST

Line: DEN -7.5

Over/Under: 49.0

The first of two anticipated meetings is soon upon us.. can the much ‘talked-about’ Kansas City defense do enough to slow down the Broncos?

PICK: Denver

New England Patriots (7-2) @ Carolina Panthers (6-3) 11/18- 8:30PM EST

Line: CAR -2.5

Over/Under: 46.5

Monday night showdown. Tough one for me… Pats 2-2 on the road thus far but are still the Patriots and the Panthers have won five straight. If Carolina has another defensive performance like last week, I like their chances.

PICK: Carolina

There are my predictions and Good luck with your teams and picks!

Wonder Punter NFL Week 11 Power Rankings

NFL-Power-Rankings

NFL Power rankings for week 11 2013

With a 10 full weeks of NFL games in the books, let’s take a look at our new NFL Power Rankings for Week 11 which will begin on Thursday. The Indianapolis Colts who were a constant top 5 teams in our rankings took a hit with their bad loss at the hands of the Rams, as did some other teams after Sunday and Monday night’s game. The Carolina Panthers made the biggest jump with their impressive defensive performances win at San Francisco. And Tampa Bay and Jacksonville are in the win column… finally.

1 Kansas City Chiefs (9-0)- Even with the bye week, I will keep them in No. 1 spot, however they will be challenged in the next two of three weeks with the Denver Broncos on the bill.

2 Denver Broncos (8-1)- Denver’s next three games…. KC, at New England, at KC. Things are about to get interesting in the AFC.

3 Seattle Seahawks (9-1)- Seattle put together a full road game against the Falcons on Sunday and dominated them. Much more impressive win.

4 New Orleans Saints (7-2)- World beaters at home… except in the NFL you only get to play half at home during the regular season.

5 New England Patriots (7-2)- Coming off their bye week, they will have a great road test at Carolina on Monday night.

6 Carolina Panthers (6-3)- One quality victory down with a road win at San Fran., can they duplicate another at home against the Patriots on Monday night?

7 Indianapolis Colts (6-3)- I don’t think anyone is sure what happened to them on Sunday’s ugly home loss to the Rams…. They couldn’t have been looking ahead to the Titans, could they have?

8 San Francisco (6-3)- A bounce here, a bounce there, who knows… but teams 6 and 7 beat them at Candlestick.

9 Detroit Lions (6-3)- Big road win at Soldier Field to take over sole possession over first place in the NFC North.

10 Cincinnati Bengals (6-4)- Back-to-back road losses at Miami then Baltimore.. lose to Cleveland on Sunday and they may have a problem.

11 New York Jets (5-4)- Coming off their bye week with winnable game at Buffalo on Sunday.

12 Chicago Bears (5-4)- Can Josh McCown hold it together ‘til Cutler makes it back… whenever that is.

13 Philadelphia Eagles (5-5)- Nick Foles has had two great back-to-back games. My favorites now to win a weak NFC East.

14 Green Bay Packers (5-4)- Despite their quarterback injuries, they have a winnable game at the Giants on Sunday.

15 Dallas Cowboys (5-5)- In what was probably their ‘rock bottom’ game on Sunday, they are still in first place in the NFC.. but barely.

16 Arizona Cardinals (5-4)- Too bad they have play in the same division as the Seahawks and 49ers.

17 San Diego Chargers (4-5)- Too bad they have to play in same division as the Chiefs and Broncos.

18 Cleveland Browns (4-5)- Win at Cincinnati on Sunday and they may have a chance to win what is now a weak AFC North.

19 Baltimore Ravens (4-5)- It’s a good thing the defense showed up on Sunday against the Bengals because the offense was nowhere to be found.

20 St. Louis Rams (4-6)- The Tavon Austin show and a blowout win at Indy.

21 Miami Dolphins (4-5)- In week one following the bullying-blowup, they lose to the winless Bucs.

22 Tennessee Titans (4-5)- First they lose Jake Locker for the year, then they lose to the worst team in the league.

23 Washington Redskins (3-6)- In a weak NFC East, they show no signs of wanting it.

24 Oakland Raiders (3-6)- Have now lost 12 straight on East Coast trips and now word Terrelle Pryor may be out for awhile.

25 Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6)- What’s all this talk about trading away ‘Big Ben?’ Will that make them better… and will anybody take a banged-up quarterback?

26 New York Giants (3-6)- Must I keep talking about the NFC East anymore… they’re still in it but have some tough games coming up.

27 Buffalo Bills (3-7)- It’s all about building a foundation for 2014.

28 Houston Texans (2-7)- Still better then their record indicates.

29. Atlanta Falcons (2-7)- I used to think they were better then their record indicated.

30 Minnesota Vikings (2-7)- With Christian Ponder’s status up in the air for Sunday’s game, will we see another quarterback change for the Vikings?

31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-8)- Guess they didn’t want to be ranked last in the league.

32 Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8)- Well for about 32 hours they were ranked 31st….

NFL Power Rankings – Week 10

NFL-power-rankings

Power Rankings for the NFL week 10 – WonderPunter

With 9 weeks of the NFL season in the books, let’s take a look at Week 10’s Power Rankings where a few teams made some jumps and others went backwards after this past weekend’s games.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (9-0)- As much as I still think they are not deserving of the top ranking.. they are still the only undefeated team. Bye week then a showdown with the Denver Broncos.

2. Denver Broncos (7-1)- With the bye week out of the way, can they continue to play at a high-level without head coach John Fox on the mend for possibly two months for a heart attack? Chargers and Chiefs coming up.

3. Indianapolis Colts (6-2)- They have beaten some quality teams to this point, but remember no more Reggie Wayne to help the offense.

4. Seattle Seahawks (8-1)- Expected better from a team that has struggled against the Rams and Bucs for victories.

5. San Francisco 49ers (6-2)- Big home game against the surging Carolina Panthers this Sunday.

6. New Orleans Saints (6-2)- Will look to bounce back against the Cowboys after Sundays loss to the Jets.

7. New England Patriots (7-2)- They head into the bye week after an impressive blowout win over the Steelers 55-31.

8. Cincinnati Bengals (6-3)- Can they avoid back-to-back road losses with the Ravens coming up?

9. Chicago Bears (5-3)- Big road win on Monday night in Lambeau gave them a big move up the rankings. Next up Detroit and possibly Jay Cutler returning to action.

10. Detroit Lions (5-3)- Coming off their bye week with a road game at Soldier Field.

11. Carolina Panthers (5-3)- All their wins have been against bad teams, now they visit the Niners on Sunday to prove their worth.

12. Green Bay Packers (5-3)- Dropped from last week and now with Aaron Rodgers out of action, they may continue to fall.

13. Dallas Cowboys (5-4)- Still middle of the road for me but they are in first place in a weak NFC East. Will be tested against the Saints on Sunday night.

14. New York Jets (5-4)- Good home win against a good Saints team leading into the bye week.

15. San Diego Chargers (4-4)- Another fourth quarter loss last week, now next up is the Denver Broncos.

16. Tennessee Titans (4-4)- I still like this football team and have the hapless Jags coming into town.

17. Miami Dolphins (4-4)- Can they overcome all the bad press this week and beat a winless Bucs team on Monday night?

18. Cleveland Browns (4-5)- Is Jason Campbell the answer to Hoyle?

19. Arizona Cardinals (4-4)- Next up is the Texans as they look to go above .500, unfortunately they have the 49ers and Seahawks to contend with in their division.

20. Philadelphia Eagles (4-5)- Back-up quarterback Nick Foles completely embarrassed the Raiders with seven touchdown passes, yet Vick may still get his job back when healthy.

21. Baltimore Ravens (4-4)- Offense must improve if they want to contend.

22. Washington Redskins (3-5)- With Minnesota coming up Thursday night, now is the chance to string some wins together in the winnable NFC East.

23. Buffalo Bills (3-6)- Tough road loss to the unbeaten Chiefs, but still like the direction they are going.

24. Oakland Raiders (3-5)- Horrible defensive performance against the Eagles. Next up is the lowly Giants, but it’s always tough for west coast teams to head east and win.

25. Houston Texans (2-6)- Defense is still there and had the Colts beat, but losing their coach proved too tough to overcome.

26. Atlanta Falcons (2-6)- Season is over and people are wondering why future Hall of Fame tight end Tony Gonzalez wasn’t traded to a team with a chance to win it all?

27. St. Louis Rams (3-6)- Playing with a back up QB and heading into Indianapolis on Sunday.

28. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-6)- Was Sundays blowout loss to the Patriots 55-31 their rock bottom? The worst we’ve seen in years!

29. New York Giants (2-6)- They have a very beatable Oakland team coming into town on Sunday.

30. Minnesota Vikings (1-7)- I guess the Josh Freeman quarterback of our future experiment is over after one game.

31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-8)- Gave Seattle all they could handle and showed some pride before falling in OT.

32. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-8)- What hasn’t been said already? Next up at Tennessee.

NFL Power Rankings- Week 9

NFL: Super Bowl XLVII-NFL Honors

NFL Power Rankings- Week 9

Here is this weeks NFL Power Rankings as we head into week 9.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (8-0)- Still don’t know if they are the best all around football team but they do have a great defense and are undefeated.

2. Denver Broncos (7-1)- With a banged up Peyton Manning on Sunday, they showed their might after being down 14-points to the Redskins.

3. New Orleans Saints (6-1)- I like their chances in the NFC if they can secure home-field advantage.

4. Indianapolis Colts (5-2)- No Reggie Wayne but next up is the Texans.

5. Green Bay Packers (5-2)- Big home game on Monday night against division foe Chicago.

6. San Francisco 49ers (6-2)- Seem to have turned the corner before leading into the bye week.

7. Seattle Seahawks (7-1)- Struggled mightily on the road against a Rams team… was not impressed.

8. Cincinnati Bengals (6-2)- Quarterback Andy Dalton is making a solid name for himself.

9. New England Patriots (6-2)- Turned it on in the second half against Miami to win at home.

10. Detroit Lions (5-3)- Amazing performance by ‘All-World’ Calvin Johnson in their come from behind win over Dallas

12. Carolina Panthers (4-3)- ‘Trap’ game this week against Atlanta before meeting San Francisco.

14. Chicago Bears (4-3)- Big Monday night showdown at Lambeau Field against the Packers.

15. Baltimore Ravens (3-4)- Can get back to .500 with a win over a struggling Cleveland team Sunday.

16. New York Jets (4-4)- Talk about laying an egg last Sunday at the hands of Cincinnati losing 49-9.

17. Tennessee Titans (3-4)- Chance to get back in the hunt with Rams, Jags and Raiders on the horizon.

18. Miami Dolphins (3-4)- Have now lost four straight after winning first three games with Cincinnati on Thursday night.

19. Arizona Cardinals (4-4)- Can Carson Palmer keep them in the hunt?

20. Oakland Raiders (3-4)- Chance to make a wildcard move with the Eagles, Giants and Texans coming up…. but they are they Raiders!

21. Cleveland Browns (3-5)- Lose at home Sunday versus Ravens and season may be over.

22. Buffalo Bills (3-5)- Tough home game against the Chiefs Sunday.

23. Atlanta Falcons (2-5)- Well I thought there was hope…

24. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-5)- Can still win some games…. but not this week with New England coming up.

25. St. Louis Rams (3-5)- Gutty performance on Monday night against the Seahawks… and without Sam Bradford.

26. Philadelphia Eagles (3-5)- As bad as they have been, they are in the NFC East!

27. Houston Texans (2-5)- Next up… the Colts.

28. Washington Redskins (2-5)- Winnable game on Sunday with San Diego making the cross-country trip.

31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-7)- Will firing their head coach now make a difference?

32. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-7)- After last Sundays beating by the 49ers… even the people of London don’t want them.

NFL Power Rankings- Week 8

nfl_power_rankings_576

NFL Power Rankings – Week 8

Here is this the NFL Power Rankings for Week 8:

#1 Kansas City Chiefs (7-0)- Still not sure they are the best team in the league, but they are undefeated and we can’t argue with a defense giving up only 11.6 points a game.

#2 Indianapolis Colts (5-2)- They did beat the Broncos, but which team will show up every week… the team that beat the Broncos or the team that lost to the Chargers.

#3 Denver Broncos (6-1)- Two improvements needed.. take care of the ball and better pass defense.

#4 Seattle Seahawks (6-1)- Making a believer out of me.

# 5 New Orleans Saints (6-1)- Still wondering how they lost to the Patriots in the last second..

#6 San Francisco 49ers (5-2)- 49ers are establishing their running game once again to open up the offense.

#7 Cincinnati Bengals (5-2)- Andy Dalton is looking for his third straight 300-yard passing game against the Jets this week.

#8 Green Bay Packers (4-2)- Eddie Lacy has given the Packers a solid running game leading all running backs the last three weeks.

#9 New England Patriots (5-2)- With Rob Gronkowski back, will the offense take off?

#10 Dallas Cowboys (4-3)- Defense has looked great since the Broncos left town.

#11 Detroit Lions (4-3)- Tough loss at home giving up the game-winning field goal against the Bengals in the last second.

#12 New York Jets (4-3)- Big road win at New England and Geno Smith showed he is becoming a legitimate NFL quarterback.

#13 San Diego Chargers (4-3)- Have the talent, just need to play a full 60-minutes of football.

#14 Chicago Bears (4-3)- Struggling defense and now Jay Cutler is out four weeks… can they keep it together?

#15 Tennessee Titans (3-4)- Now that Jake Locker is back, look for them to get back to winning.

#16 Baltimore Ravens (3-4)- A .500 team is all they may be this year.

#17 Miami Dolphins (3-3)- Back to reality after winning their first three games… now have dropped three-straight.

#18 Carolina Panthers (3-3)- Has Cam Newton shaken off his sophomore jinx?

#19 Philadelphia Eagles (3-4)- Michael Vick out one more week, but with Tampa up this week, Nick Foles can get it done.

#20 Atlanta Falcons (2-4)- They found the red zone last week.

#21 Buffalo Bills (3-4)- Big road win at Miami last week.

#22 Cleveland Browns (3-4)- Back to Brandon Weeden calling the signals. Not good!

#23 Washington Redskins (2-4)- Good home win versus Chicago, but next up is the Denver Broncos.

#24 Pittsburgh Steelers (2-4)- Can they continue to create turnovers and win some games?

#25 Arizona Cardinals (3-4)- Carson Palmer is not the answer…

#26 Houston Texans (2-5)- Had the Chiefs on the ropes before losing, but now no Brian Cushing to led the defense.

#27 Oakland Raiders (2-4)- Terrelle Pryor… get rid of the ball.

#28 St. Louis Rams (3-4)- Sam Bradford is lost for the season.. not that he was setting the league on fire. But still?

#29 New York Giants (1-6)- Win the turnover battle, win the ball game.

#30 Minnesota Vikings (1-5)- Is Josh Freeman the answer, he wasn’t on Monday night?

#31 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-6)- Their ‘best’ running back is now lost for the season.

#32 Jacksonville Jaguars (0-7)- Is there anything really to say about this team?

Those are my NFL Power Rankings for Week 8

1. Denver Broncos (6-0)- Peyton Manning returns to Indianapolis for a Sunday night match-up. Emotions will be high.

2. New Orleans Saints (5-1)- Last second loss to the Patriots hurt, but still think they are the team to beat in the NFC.

3. Seattle Seahawks (5-1)- Solid football team, jury is still out for me on quality road wins.

4. Kansas City Chiefs (6-0)- Solid defense and easy schedule coming up before their showdown with Denver in a few weeks.

5. New England Patriots (5-1)- Can only get better once Gronkowski gets back to playing.

6. Green Bay Packers (3-2)- Tough win at Baltimore.. still see them as the team to beat in the NFC North.

7. San Francisco 49ers (4-2)- Took a step back against their home win versus Arizona. Not impressive.

8. Indianapolis Colts (4-2)- Took a step back with loss Monday night at San Diego. Denver in town on Sunday.

9. Cincinnati Bengals (4-2)- Have they turned a corner? They have won four out of their last five games.

10. Detroit Lions (4-2)- Good road win at Cleveland. Up next Cincinnati.

11. Chicago Bears (4-2)- Expected more from their home win against a bad Giants team.

12. Dallas Cowboys (3-3)- Still a mediocre team to me but should win the weak NFC East.

13. Baltimore Ravens (3-3)- Will the defending Super Bowl champs make a move sometime this year?

14. San Diego Chargers (3-3)- Good things happen when you play a full 60 minutes of football.

15. Miami Dolphins (3-2)- Can they rebound with some conference opponents coming up?

16. Tennessee Titans (3-3)- With a healthy Jake Locker.. could easily be a Top 10 team.

24. Buffalo Bills (2-4)- They’re close to making it work. I like the direction they’re heading in for the future.

25. Houston Texans (2-4)- Got punished at home to a bad Rams team.. did they finally hit rock bottom?

26. Oakland Raiders (2-4)- Terrelle Pryor was sacked 10 times last week by the Chiefs! Really?!!

27. Pittsburgh Steelers (1-4)- Create some turnovers, get a win. So that’s the secret to winning games.

28. Washington Redskins (1-4)- This is same team that won the NFC East last year?

29. Minnesota Vikings (1-4)- Quarterback woes continues… time to cash it in.

Wonder Punter NFL Power Rankings- Week 6

NFL-Power-Rankings

With week 5 of the NFL season in the books.. let’s take a look at the Power Rankings for the NFL leading into week 6 starting Thursday starting with teams 1-32.

#1 Denver Broncos (5-0)- After surviving a scare at Dallas, no real threat in the next coming weeks.

#2 New Orleans Saints (5-0)- Offense looks good, defense looks good. Took it to Chicago on the road.

#3 Indianapolis Colts (4-1)- Big win at home against Seattle

#4 Seattle Seahawks (4-1)- Played tough on the road against Indianapolis, still not sold on them as good road them yet.

#5 San Francisco 49ers (3-2)- Back-to-back weeks of crushing football… and still missing key players.

#6 New England Patriots (4-1)- Bad loss in Cincinnati.. but are still dealing with injury problems.

#7 Green Bay Packers (2-2)- May be able to run the table the rest of the season with their schedule.

#8 Kansas City Chiefs ( 5-0)- Good defense, but would like to see another quality victory or two before believing.

#9 Cincinnati Bengals (3-2)- Looked good beating New England, but looked bad losing to Cleveland.

#10 Chicago Bears (3-2)- Have lost their last two games to some good football teams.

#11 Baltimore Ravens (3-2)- Good win at Miami last week after a bad loss at Buffalo

#12 Detroit Lions (3-2)- If Calvin Johnson stays healthy, they have a chance.

#13 Dallas Cowboys (2-3)- I want to believe they can get it done… then Romo finds a way to make me not believe. At least they are in the NFC East.

#14 Miami Dolphins (3-2)- Have lost their last two. Running game as gone south.

#15 Tennessee Titans (3-2)- Had potential until Jake Locker went down.. still solid, but don’t know if Ryan Fitzpatrick can get it done.

#16 Cleveland Browns (3-2)- Schedule is about to get real tough, can Weeden keep them hot?

#17 New York Jets (3-2)- Geno Smith… keep playing like that and maybe we may have something here.

#18 Houston Texans (2-3)- Matt Schaub may have hit rock bottom in San Francisco… but still better then T.J. Yates.

#19 Philadelphia Eagles (2-3)- No Michael Vick, but next up is Tampa Bay so they should be ok for another week.

#20 Atlanta Falcon (1-4)- Best 1-4 team I’ve ever seen. Two words… Red Zone!

#21 Buffalo Bills (2-3)- Can back-up QB Thad Lewis run the hurry up offense?

#22 Oakland Raiders (2-3)- I like what I see in Terrelle Pryor. The potential is there to make them a better football team.

#23 San Diego Chargers (2-3)- They lost to the Raiders and still must play Denver twice.

#24 Arizona Cardinals (3-2)- Winning record, but up next is the 49ers.

#25 Carolina Panthers (1-3)- Can Cam Newton get some help please on the offense? 7 sacks last week.

#26 Minnesota Vikings (1-3)- They still have Adrian Peterson and can newly signed Josh Freeman pitch in and help the offense?

#27 St. Louis Rams (2-3)- Houston and Carolina coming up.

#28 Washington Redskins (1-3)- As long as they are in the NFC East, they still have a chance but Dallas, Chicago and Denver are coming up.

#29 Pittsburgh Steelers (0-4)- Father time has just caught up with them… they just look old.

#30 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-4)- Bad team, now no Josh Freeman, but still better then Giants and Jaguars.

#31 New York Giants (0-5)- A tale of two Manning’s… what has happened to Eli and the Giants?

#32 Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5)- A bad Rams’ team beat them by 14 points and now must face the Denver Broncos. It’s going to be ugly.

NFL Thursday Night Game Recap- Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns

NFL Thursday Night Game Recap- Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns

On Thursday night the Cleveland Browns rallied at home to come up with a thrilling victory over the visiting Buffalo Bills 37-24. Things appeared shaky in the first quarter after Browns’ QB Brian Hoyer went down with a right knee injury. His injury appears to be serious.

However, former Browns’ starting QB Brandon Weeden was called upon, and he did not disappoint as he led the Browns to victory. “Whether I was the starter, eyes are still on you to see how you respond, to see how you react. I was upbeat the entire time and never let it bother me. Inside, it just kind of lit a fire.” Cleveland now stands at 3-2, while the Bills fall to 2-3. The Bills also lost rookie quarterback EJ Manuel to a knee injury. He did not return.

As for now, the Browns temporarily move into sole possession of first place in the AFC North. At 3-2, it is the Browns best record since 2001.

Cleveland was down 10-0 after the first quarter, but Weeden was able to led the charge and the Browns went into halftime leading 17-10. In the third quarter, the Bills took the lead again 24-17, but it was short lived as the Browns came charging back and took complete control in the fourth quarter putting the game away. Of Weeden, tight end Jordan Cameron said, “He did a great job. At first he was a little rusty. I think he shook that off and really got us going.” Weeden went 13-24 197 yards and 1 touchdown.

Bills EJ Manuel finished at 11-20 129 yards with no touchdowns, And my that friends is my take on the NFL Thursday Night Game Recap- Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns

Baltimore Ravens (2-2) @ Miami Dolphins (3-1) 10/6 1:00PM EST

Line: MIA -3.0

Over/Under: 43.5

Both teams looking to bounce back after Week 4 losses. I look for the Raven defense to get at Dolphin QB Tannehill early and often.

PICK: Baltimore Ravens

Winning betting sytem Click Here!

Philadelphia Eagles (1-3) @ New York Giants (0-4) 10/6 1:00PM EST

Line: NYG -1.0

Over/Under: 53.5

Have to figure the Giants are due for a win? Eagles better then average offense against a bad Giants’ defense.

PICK: Philadelphia Eagles

Carolina Panthers (1-2) @ Arizona Cardinals (2-2) 10/6 4:05PM EST

Line: CAR -1.5

Over/Under: 41.5

Carolina Panthers are coming off a bye week. Cardinals are coming off an ugly win at TB.

PICK: Carolina Panthers

Denver Broncos (4-0) @ Dallas Cowboys (2-2) 10/6 4:25PM EST

Line: DEN -7.0

Over/Under: 56.0

No team yet has found the answer to stopping the Broncos. I don’t see the Cowboys having it either.

PICK: Denver Broncos

San Diego Chargers (2-2) @ Oakland Raiders (1-3) 10/6 11:35PM EST

Line: SD -4.5

Over/Under: 44.5

Game moved back to a late start on the West coast due to the A’s playing the night before. Raider QB Terrelle Pryor is back, but can they keep pace with the Charger offense?

PICK: San Diego Chargers

NFL Thursday Night Game Preview/Pick/Prediction Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns

week4picksnfl

NFL Thursday Night free pick

Buffalo Bills (2-2) @ Cleveland Browns (2-2) 10/3 8:25PM EST

Line: CLE -4.0

Over/Under- 41.0

The Cleveland Browns look to go 3-2 in their five games for the first time since 2001, and Browns feel with Cleveland native Brian Hoyer calling the signals once again, they like their chances. Brian Hoyer won the starting position over veteran Jason Campbell once starting quarterback Brandon Weeden got injured in Minnesota. Hoyer played back-up in New England for three seasons and spent 2012 with the Arizona Cardinals. Many thought the Browns were throwing in the towel after losing their first two games and then trading running back Trent Richardson to the Colts. While leading the Browns to victory against the Bengals last Sunday 17-6, Hoyer went 25 of 38 for 269 yards two touchdowns, and most importantly… no interceptions. The previous week, he threw three picks, but was still able to win.

The Browns passing attack ranks 14th in the NFL with 247.8 yards a game, however the rushing game is only at 27 at 76.0 yards a game. However, the defense ranks 3rd in the league yielding only 291.5 yards allowed. Who will win the battle at the line of scrimmage as the Browns are the best at only giving up 2.9 yards on the ground, while the Bills are #2 in the NFL with their rushing attack of 152.0 yards a game (4.1) per carry.
Winning betting system Click Here!
The Buffalo Bills expect both of their running backs to carry the load on Thursday, C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson. Despite injuries to the Buffalo secondary, the Bills remain confident their defense after coming away with five interceptions against the Baltimore Ravens.

Buffalo goes into Cleveland having dropped their last five road games, however they won at Cleveland last year 24-14. It will be Buffalo’s hurry up offense against one of the top defenses in the league. I see the Bills coming away with an upset on the road in a close one.

Pick: Buffalo Bills

BuffaloBills use 5 picks off Flacco to repel Ravens

Bills’ Protection Picks Flacco 5 Occasions In Win

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Marcell Dareus and the Buffalo Payments protection made life miserable for Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco.

Dareus had two sacks, rookie linebacker Kiko Alonso and converted safety Aaron Williams had two interceptions as part of a 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Dareus was pleased with the new-look protection that finally began playing as much as its attacking model under new coordinator Mike Pettine.

“It surprises individuals, however we controlled it the way we wanted to,” Dareus said. “We were not going to allow them to push us round.”

The Bills pushed again in limiting Baltimore to fifteen first downs and 345 yards.

It was a stifling performance that got here per week after Buffalo gave up 513 yards in a 27-20 loss to the New York Jets.

And the Bills (2-2) won regardless of an damage-thinned defensive backfield that opened the sport missing three starters, and closed it minus Williams, who couldn’t end because of a sore again.

“These guys have answered the bell, and they performed their behinds off,” defensive sort out Kyle Williams stated. “It does not get any higher than this.”

Alonso sealed the victory by making a diving catch to pick off Flacco for a fifth time with 57 seconds remaining. Facing third-and-eight at the Bills 48, Flacco forced a pass over the middle meant for tight finish Dallas Clark. Clark and security Da’Norris Searcy both acquired their fingers on the ball, and Alonso came up with the interception.

Fred Jackson had 87 yards speeding, and scored on a 14-yard run for the Bills, who’re off to a 2-2 begin underneath rookie head coach Doug Marrone.

C.J. Spiller added seventy seven yards speeding in helping Buffalo combine for 203 yards on the bottom in opposition to a protection that had allowed just 224 in its first three video games.

The Ravens (2-2) took a giant step back after a formidable 30-9 win over Houston final week.

“Plenty of that falls on me immediately and just throwing the ball to the flawed group,” Flacco stated. “If we do not do that, then this game most likely seems slightly different.”

What it resembled as a substitute, was one other lackluster efficiency by a retooled offense still trying to find an id after several offseason modifications to its group of receivers.

The Ravens are still a work in progress after trading Anquan Boldin to San Francisco, and with Jacoby Jones (hip) and tight finish Dennis Pitta (hip) injured.

Torrey Smith had five catches for 166 yards and a touchdown, however Flacco had difficulty finding any chemistry along with his different receivers.

And the Ravens working assault struggled, even with Ray Rice returning after missing final week’s recreation with a hip injury.

Rice completed with 17 yards rushing and backup Bernard Pierce managed just 7 towards a Payments defense that gave up 182 to the Jets last week.

“We might’ve appreciated to run the ball better. We would’ve favored to execute so much higher,” Rice stated. “You get behind, you may’t pound the rock. You just can’t do it.”

Trouble was, the Ravens could not get their offense on observe even when the game was close within the first half. Baltimore managed simply three first downs and forty five yards offense on its first seven possessions.

Flacco finished 25 of 50 for 347 yards and two touchdowns, together with a 10-yarder to Marlon Brown. However he has 5 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season.

The 5 interceptions had been the most by the Payments protection since it had six in a sixteen-13 additional time win over the New York Jets on Oct. 18, 2009.

“It feels nice to win,” mentioned safety Jim Leonhard, who also had an interception. “Clearly, we’ve had our share of adversity, and I think we’ve proven by means of four weeks that we a room full of guys on the again end that can struggle.”

The Payments face a short turnaround. They journey to play at Cleveland on Thursday and could be without two hobbled operating backs.

Spiller is believed to have suffered a sprained ankle Sunday. Jackson stated he sprained his MCL. Each players, though, mentioned they expect to face the Browns.

Game notes

Alonso, a second-spherical select of Oregon, has four interceptions on the season. And he grew to become the staff’s first rookie linebacker to have an interception in three consecutive games… Marrone stated he expects CB Aaron Williams to be healthy to play this week… Ravens WR

Deonte Thompson

sustained a concussion after being hit alongside the sideline by security Jim Leonhard… Ravens coach John Harbaugh mentioned each Brown and beginning CB

Lardarius Webb

harm their thighs and are nonetheless having their accidents evaluated.

NFL Week 4- Game Previews, Picks & Predictions

NFL Week 4 – Game Previews, Picks and Predictions

last night’s game between the San Francisco 49ers and St. Louis Rams kicked off week 4 of the young NFL season. Here is a look at this weekends up coming games. Sunday night’s game between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons, and Monday night’s game between the Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints will be covered more in depth upcoming soon.

First let’s take a look at the early games and here are my NFL Week 4 Picks and game previews

Baltimore Ravens (2-1) @ Buffalo Bills (1-2) 9/29 1:00 EST

Line: BAL -3.0

Over/Under 44.0

The Ravens go into Buffalo with their much improved defense since losing to Denver, having not given up a touchdown in their last 2 games. Tall order with Buffalo’s quick run offense, but I do see the Ravens coming away with a victory as I believe the defense will do enough to contain the Bills. Prediction: Baltimore Ravens

Cincinnati Bengals (2-1) @ Cleveland Browns (1-2) 9/29 1:00PM EST

Line: CIN -4.0

Over/Under 42.5

After last weeks thrilling victory at home against the Green Bay Packers, I look for the Bengals to continue their winning ways against the Browns, a team they have beaten 7 out of 9 times the last few seasons. With the Browns’ trading away RB Trent Richardson, and appointing of third-string QB Brian Hoyer, I don’t like their chances. Bengals win easily.

Prediction: Cincinnati Bengals

Chicago Bears (3-0) @ Detroit Lions (2-1) 9/29 1:00PM EST

Line: DET -3.0

Over/Under 47.5

This should be a game to watch as the Detroit Lions look to end their struggles against the NFC North rivals Chicago Bears, who are looking to go 4-0 for the first time in seven years. Although, the Lions get back their flashy RB Reggie Bush back in their offensive mix, I believe the Bears will continue their recent dominance of the Lions and see them winning in a close one on the road.

Prediction: Chicago Bears

New York Giants (0-3) @ Kansas City Chiefs (3-0) 9/29 1:00PM EST

Line: -4.0 Over/Under 44.0

Tough task for the New York Giants to go into Kansas City, in search of their first win of the season, against a Chiefs team playing well on both sides of the ball. Although, I expect a better performance from the Giants following last weeks shutout loss to the Panthers, I don’t see them leaving Kansas City with a victory. Chiefs are playing with a lot of confidence, and see them remaining perfect.

So this NFL week 4 Prediction: Kansas City Chiefs Pittsburgh Steelers (0-3) vs. Minnesota Vikings (0-3) @ Wembley Stadium London, England 9/29 1:00PM EST

Line: PIT -3.0 Over/Under 42.0

Both teams look to get into the win column, as they play in the NFL’s annual International Series at the famed Wembley Stadium in London. I see the Steelers having the better chance to win, as Viking QB Christian Ponder is struggling to lead the Viking offense in the early season. Vikings gave one away last week to the Browns. The Steelers to win going away late. Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers Arizona Cardinals (1-2) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-3) 1:00PM EST

Line: TB -1.0 Over/Under 40.5

With the Bucs deciding to pull QB Josh Freeman in favor of rookie QB Mike Glennon to help spark the struggling offense, I don’t see it being enough to give the Bucs their first win of the season. Arizona has a bunch of injuries, but I have more confidence in their offense to get the job done on the road. Cardinals in a close one.

My NFL week 4 PickPrediction: Arizona Cardinals Indianapolis Colts (2-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (0-3) 9/29 1:00PM EST

Line: IND -7.5 Over/Under 42.5

The hot Indianapolis Colts, fresh off their big win of the 49ers last week, go into Jacksonville to play a Jaguar team many believe, are the worst team in football. I agree! Colts in a runaway. For sure pick here. Colts Prediction: Indianapolis Colts

Seattle Seahawks (3-0) @ Houston Texans (2-1) 9/29 1:00PM EST

Line: -2.0

Over/Under 41.5

Great match up here, and the first real true test on the road for the Seattle Seahawks, who look to remain unbeaten. Many critics have the Seahawks as the best team in football. I have them second behind the Broncos, until they can prove they can win on the road. Tough one to call… but I see the Texans winning in a close one. Must see game!

Prediction: Houston Texans

New York Jets (2-1) @ Tennessee Titans (2-1) 9/29 4:05PM EST

Line: TEN -3.5

Over/Under 40.0

Should be an interesting game, as Jets rookie QB Geno Smith looks to continue to carry the Jets to victory. I like what I see in the Titans’ offense led by QB Jake Locker, and have the Titans winning easily.

Prediction: Tennessee Titans

Philadelphia Eagles (1-2) @ Denver Broncos (3-0) 9/29 4:25PM EST

Line: DEN -11.0

Over/Under 57.5

This is also a must watch game in my book, not that I expect too close of a game, but the offenses of both teams should keep us entertained. Expect lots of points in this one, however, the majority of those points coming from the best team in football.. the Denver Broncos! Fun one to watch.

Prediction: Denver Broncos

Washington Redskins (0-3) @ Oakland Raiders (1-2) 9/29 4:25PM EST

Line: WSH -3.5

Over/Under 43.5

I think the key to this game is weather Raider QB Terrelle Pryor will be available to start, after last weeks concussion at Denver. Redskin QB RG3 seems to be on his way back to the quarterback he was last year. Redskins will be playing with a sense of urgency, as they look to notch their first win of the year. Close one to call.. comes down to availability of Terrelle Pryor to give the Raiders a chance to win.

Prediction: Toss-Up (Pick-Em)

Dallas Cowboys (2-1) @ San Diego Chargers (1-2) 9/29 4:25PM EST

Line: DAL -1.0

Over/Under 47.0

Americas Team,” the Dallas Cowboys go into San Diego to battle a team, who have played much better then their record, having given away two games to the Texans and Titans. Cowboys look to establish themselves as a team who this year should be taken seriously as playoff contenders. Another good game to watch. I see the Chargers playing a complete game and winning late.

Prediction: San Diego Chargers

There you go with all the games on the main docket, and my NFL Week 4 pick´s and predictions for this Sunday. Good luck!
