NCAA Prediction College Football Week 13 Game Preview/ and Pick- #12 Texas A&M vs. #22 LSU

NCAA College football free pick and prediction Texas vs LSU

#12 Texas A&M Aggies (8-2) @ #22 LSU Tigers (7-3) 11/23- 3:30PM EST

Line: LSU: -4.5

Over/Under: 71.0

This Saturday afternoon, expect another classic battle as two of the top quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference, as well as some of college football’s best receivers and running backs… as the No. 12 Texas A&M Aggies travel into Death Valley to take on the No. 22 LSU Tigers.

On the mind of LSU coach Les Miles is Saturdays matchup of the up-tempo offense of the Aggies, which is lead by Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel.

Miles says he is “not looking forward to that style of game.”

I want the defense to stop them,” Miles said. “Certainly we recognize the challenge that an offense like A&M will bring … I like my defense. I suspect they’ll play best in this game. I think they’ll be a challenge to A&M and I think being in Tiger Stadium will be a challenge to A&M. It’s a much different environment and a place where the home team generally does pretty good.”

LSU (7-3, 3-3 SEC) is a (minus) -4.5 point favorite and has been good at home, winning all five of their games so far, but get up to the minute odds here at Wonder Punter up until kick off.

Manziel is been stellar once again this season accounting for 300-plus yards in 19 straight starts, even having thrown 500 total yards against No. 1 Alabama earlier in the year.

The Aggies 578 yards per game and scoring average of 49.2 easily lead the SEC.

It’s a great challenge,” Miles said. “It’ll be a great matchup. I think our defense is really looking forward to it. These Tigers look forward to a challenge and this is really going to be one. I think our guys will play well. I think we have a nice scheme and a variety of ways to pressure, disguise coverage, get in the backfield.”

Miles wants his defense to come up with some third down stops to get off the field for breathers against the Aggies’ up-tempo offense and plans to rotate his players often to help keep them form wearing down.

LSU cornerback Jalen Mills said the Tigers defense will be bracing for a test of stamina.

It is a day game. It’s going to be hot. If somebody catches a cramp or somebody may be gassed and may need to sit out for a play or two, we do have the depth for it,” Mills said. “Your name could be called at any time during that game, so you have to be ready. No sitting on the sidelines.”

Another key to the Tigers winning Saturday will be to control the football and keeping the Aggies offense off the field.

We know what kind of offense they have over there and the recipe for success against those guys is running the football successfully,” LSU running back Jeremy Hill said, noting that that game plan worked last year leading to a victory over A&M.

We want to get 35 minutes or more in time of possession, just keeping (Manziel) off the field as much as possible and helping our defense, keeping those guys fresh,” Hill said. “In the Alabama game, they were out there for a lot of plays and we were on the sideline for most of the second half and that hurt our defense… They got tired out there.”

Get upto $1000 betting bonus here

A&M (8-2, 4-2) has scored more than 50 points in winning its past three games. The Aggies will looking for their first victory over LSU and will making their first trip into Baton Rouge.

I want nothing more than to win these two games and to get into a good bowl game and go 10-2 in another regular season,” Manziel said. “I can’t even put into words how bad I want that for seniors on this team and for this team in general.”

I’m looking forward to Saturday’s game, with back and forth action with lots of points put up but will give a slight edge to the Tigers and predict a close one.

PICK: LSU

NCAA Prediction College Football Week 13 Thursday Night Game Preview/Pick- Rutgers vs. #18 UCF

ucf

Prediction and free pick for Thursday night game Rutgers vs UCF

Rutgers Scarlet Knights (5-4) @ #18 UCF Knights (8-1) 11/21- 7:30PM EST

Line: UCF -17.5

Over/Under: 58.0

No. 18 ranked UCF will be looking to improve upon their performance from last week as they will try to remain atop the American Athletic Conference and keep their BCS bowl hopes alive when they host Rutgers on Thursday night.

UCF (8-1, 5-0 AAC) had to rally from seven points behind last week against last place Temple and pull out a 39-36 victory with a 23-yard field goal as time expired.

It was a good win in a tough situation. When we had the opportunity to make plays, we made them. That was the difference in the game,” UCF coach George O’Leary said.
Sportsbetting.ag
With the Knights at 5-0 in the AAC, they still have games with Louisville and Cincinnati, both 5-1 chasing them.

O’Leary on last week’s disappointing performance….

We’ve got to play better than that if we’re going to continue to win. We’ve just got to play a team game. Offense and defense have to compliment each other. That didn’t happen.

We were very fortunate to come out with a win. We looked like we were out of sync on defense. We weren’t making plays, and you can’t do that. We’ve got to get that fixed before Thursday.”

UCF quarterback Blake Bortles passed for a career-best 404 yards and four touchdowns leading the offense to a season-high 657 yards against Temple.

However, the Knight’s defense gave up a season-high 518 yards to Temple, but they hope to get back defensive back Jacoby Glenn (ankle) and defensive end Miles Pace (appendectomy) on the field again.

Hopefully we get a couple of the starters back that didn’t play against Temple,” O’Leary said. ‘We’ve got to put a lot work in two days of practice. We’ve got to be resilient and move on.”

Rutgers (5-4, 2-3 AAC) will try to derail the Knights and become bowl-eligible for the eight time in nine seasons at the same time on Thursday night, but have struggled defensively giving up 600 yards in two of its last three games.

The Scarlet Knights are dealing with some turmoil this season as freshman defensive back Jevon Tyree left the team last week after accusing defensive coordinator Dave Cohen of verbal abuse and a physical threat during a study hall session in the spring.

According to Rutgers University, it said that Cohen was reprimanded by coach Kyle Flood and has since apologized.

Coach Flood, however says he doesn’t think the current allegations are affecting the team.

I have seen nothing but a spirited football team with a lot of energy that’s getting ready to play an excellent football team in UCF, he said. “I think the players and the coaches are focused.”

With UCF going in as (minus) -17.5 and at home, the odds are stacked in their favor to come away with a win Thursday night. Be sure to check the latest odds here at Wonder Punter up until kick off as the line spread may change.

I do expect a better all-around performance from the Knights and predict an easy victory over the Scarlet Knights.

NFL Prediction Week 11 Monday Night Preview/Pick- New England vs. Carolina

new-england-carolina-betting-odds

NFL Free Pick and Prediction for the New England vs Carolina game, Week 11

New England Patriots (7-2) @ Carolina Panthers (6-3) 11/18- 8:30PM EST

Line: CAR -2.5

Over/Under: 46.0

Place your bets here upto $1000 bonus

Monday night, the New England Patriots will go on the road to face a Carolina Panthers team that is riding a five-game win streak and now claims the NFC’s stingiest defense.

With new a new group of receivers under Tom Brady’s helm, the challenge of putting up the numbers of year’s past has been any but fun as his inexperienced targets have dropped 12.2 percent of catchable balls for the league’s worst mark.

Coming off their bye week after routing the Pittsburgh Steelers 55-31, the Patriots (7-2) will now face a Panthers defense yielding only 12.8 points per game and last week beat the 49ers 10-9 on the road to move one-game behind the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South.

They’re one the best defenses in the league,” Brady said. “We have to play really well. I think our execution has to be the best.”

During their five-game win streak, the Panthers have outscored their opponents 140-57 as they go for six in a row… a feat that was accomplished back in 2005.

Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly, who earned conference defensive player of the week honors for an 11-tackle performance as part of a defense that sacked Colin Kaepernick six times will be facing Tom Brady for the first time on Monday night.

Tom Brady is a very cerebral guy, he’s been around a while, he knows where he’s going with the ball, he’s smart, he understands defenses,” Kuechly said. “So we’ve just got to do a good job of playing our job, doing our responsibilities and make sure we’re in the right spot.”

The Panthers defense also has 13 takeaways that tie for the league’s most and allows an average of only 82.0 yards on the ground for the NFL’s second-lowest mark.

On the Panther’s offensive side of the ball, third year quarterback Cam Newton is getting it done in all aspects.

He’s playing well efficiently. He does a good job,” said Panthers coach Bill Belichick about Newton. “He’s obviously a threat with the ball in his hands to run. He can make all the throws. He can put the ball on the sideline.”

With Carolina averaging 120.4 yards rushing per game, the running game is another aspect the Panthers will be looking to take advantage of against the Pats as they are third-worst in the NFL allowing 128.2 yards per contest.

Coach Bilichick believes his team will be well prepared for Newton having already faced Buffalo’s EJ Manuel and the Jets’ Geno Smith.

I think that a lot of the plays that Carolina runs we’ve seen from Buffalo and the Jets,” Belichick said. “The fact that we have seen some of those plays, we’ve worked on the basic blocking schemes and how to fit on them, where everybody needs to be.”

Yet, despite all the numbers pointing to the Panthers on the Monday night, the lines spread has them only (minus) -2.5 point favorites over the Patriots, but as always, be sure to check the odds here at Wonder Punter up until kickoff as they might change.

Defensively, the Patriots are getting it done with 29 sacks, which matches the Panthers. Chandler Jones for the Pats has 8 ½ sacks to lead the team.

Greg Hardy of the Panthers has six sacks to help the defense.

That’s our style of defense,” Hardy said. “We dominate. We take what we want. We do what we want.”

I expect a great game on Monday night, and give the Panthers the edge, however Tom Brady has an impressive 13-4 mark on Monday nights.

Monday Night Football is always pretty cool, especially when you play a really good team on Monday Night Football” he said. It’s a fun night.”

NFL Week 11 Sunday Night Game Preview/Pick- Kansas City vs. Denver

BroncosChiefsJA3_8645

NFL Prediction Kansas vs Denver Week 11 free Pick

Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) @ Denver Broncos (8-1) 11/17- 8:30PM EST

Line: DEN -9.5

Over/Under: 49.0

After much anticipation, the wait is almost over as the NFL’s only unbeaten team, Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) go into Denver’s Mile High Stadium to battle the 8-1 Denver Broncos in an AFC West showdown on Sunday night that will determine first place.

Sunday’s marquee match-up will be the first of two meetings in a three week period between these two ball clubs who have been amongst the league’s best all season long.

Denver’s Peyton Manning is expected to play despite a sore right ankle as an MRI preformed Monday showed no additional damage. Manning only participated in walkthroughs to preserve the ankle as much as possible.

It’s certainly my preference to be out (at practice), but I’m trying to do what’s best for the team in order for me to get healthy,’” Manning said.

Manning first suffered the injury last month after taking hits to the same area in back-to-back games and then last week against San Diego was hit again, but despite the beating to the ankle interim coach Jack Del Rio states Manning will be the starter on Sunday.

The Kansas City defense, which has been their ‘calling-card’ all season long will pose the biggest challenge for Manning to date as he must face a defense that has a league-high 36 sacks, with Justin Houston and Tamba Hali combining for 20.

The Broncos have given up the second-fewest sacks in the league with only 13, but eight have come in the last three games with left tackle being the biggest concern where replacement Chris Clark has been inconsistent since Ryan Clady has been lost for the season with a foot injury.

(Manning) will definitely play this week so that’s good news,” Del Rio said. “We’re definitely on high alert in wanting to protect our quarterback. We didn’t do it as well as we could (against San Diego), and we have an even greater challenge this week in the team that’s sacked quarterbacks more then anyone in this league.”

For the Kansas City Chiefs, coming off their bye week are ready to go, however their star Pro-Bow wide receiver Dwayne Bowe was pulled over for speeding in Riverside, MO and also charged with possession of marijuana. Bowe posted $750 bond and is set to appear in court on December 18.

Although Bowe is not expected to be punished by his team for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy or face any penalties until after his court appearance, however, the NFL may decide to potentially hand down a one-game suspension or fine.
BetOnline
There are rules and regulations put in place and we’ll abide by the rules and regulations, and we’ll make sure we take all the information that comes out as it goes through the process,” coach Andy Reid said. “That’s where we’re going with it.”

I addressed him, had that opportunity to talk to him, and I’ll leave it at that. There are laws, rules and regulations, and I’ll leave it at that.”

Defense has been the strong point for the Chiefs all season long as the offense has been sometimes shaky, but it will take a full effort to win at Denver on Sunday night as Kansas City will facing their biggest threat to keep them from a continued perfect season. Their 9-0 start ties the best start since the 2003 KC team.

Off-season acquisition Alex Smith has given the KC offense a much needed boost compared to last year’s team, but it’s been the defense that is doing the job.

But despite Kansas City’s success this season, many feel the Broncos are still the better team in the AFC West and not much respect has been given to the Chiefs including the oddsmakers who now have the line spread at Denver (minus) -9.5 and clearly feel they are the favorite going in on Sunday. But, as always with lines constantly changing up until kickoff, check the spread often here through Wonder Punter and place your bet(s) when ready.

Denver swept the Chiefs last season for the first time since 2007, but Andy Reid’s team have been historically successful returning from byes, such as in Philadelphia where his Eagles won 13 straight games after a bye week.

December 1st both teams will meet again, but for Sundays game, my money is on the Denver Broncos as I feel that they are indeed the better team and as long as Manning is able to be effective calling the signals… I predict the Broncos beating the Chiefs .

Free NFL Picks and predictions for Week 11

NFL Week 11 is going to be another great week of NFL games with the four big ones in my opinion being Cleveland @ Cincinnati, San Francisco @ New Orleans, Kansas City @ Denver (Sunday night) and New England @ Carolina (Monday night). Here is my quick preview for each game along with the spread and my pick/prediction for each match-up. Remember, you can check the latest lines and place your favorite bet(s) right here through Wonder Punter. Good Luck!

New York Jets (5-4) @ Buffalo Bills (3-7) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: Even

Over/Under: 40.5

With the Jets coming off their bye week, I have to think they will play the better game and expected a little from the Bills to this point. If Geno Smith is on…

PICK: NYJ

Baltimore Ravens (4-5) @ Chicago Bears (5-4) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: CHI -3.0

Over/Under: 45.0

The Ravens are coming off a big home win last Sunday against a Cincinnati team without much offensive production. The Bears will be without Jay Cutler. Still like the Bears in this one being at home.

PICK: Chicago

Cleveland Browns (4-5) @ Cincinnati Bengals (6-4) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: CIN -6.0

Over/Under: 42.0

The Bengals have lost back-to-back games in overtime and lost the last meeting with Cleveland but will go with Cincy in this one to get it done.

PICK: Cincinnati

Washington Redskins (3-6) @ Philadelphia Eagles (5-5) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: PHI -4.5

Over/Under: 53.0

Too much at stake for the Eagles with a chance to get into sole possession of first place with a win and Nick Foles has been great the last two weeks.

PICK: Philadelphia

Detroit Lions (6-3) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: DET -2.5

Over/Under: 47.0

The Steelers have been playing better ball since their ‘rock bottom’ game a few weeks backs, but with a healthy Lions duo of Stafford/Johnson… I like the Lions on the road.

PICK: Detroit
BetOnline
Atlanta Falcons (2-7) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-8) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: EVEN

Over/Under: 43.0

The ‘experts’ have it even.. I kind of agree. With a very disappointing Falcons team this year, can the Bucs win two in a row?

PICK: Atlanta

Arizona Cardinals (5-4) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-8) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: ARI -8.5

Over/Under: 41.0

As long as the Cardinals don’t have a ‘let-down’ game, they should win easily.

PICK: Arizona

Oakland Raiders (3-6) @ Houston Texans (2-7) 11/17- 1:00PM EST

Line: HOU -7.0

Over/Under: 41.5

Texans head coach Gary Kubiak is back, Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor is questionable…. seems like a Texans win to me.

PICK: Houston

San Diego Chargers (4-5) @ Miami Dolphins (4-5) 11/17- 4:05PM EST

Line: SD -1.0

Over/Under: 45.5

Always tough for a West Coast team to travel East and play but with the Dolphins in the midst of controversy… can they stay focused?

PICK: San Diego

San Francisco 49ers (6-3) @ New Orleans Saints (7-2) 11/17- 4:25PM EST

Line: NO -3.0

Over/Under: 47.5

I expect a better performance this week from the 49ers, but New Orleans is just a very good team in the Dome. Should be a good. Too much Saints.

PICK: New Orleans

Minnesota Vikings (2-7) @ Seattle Seahawks (9-1) 11/17- 4:25PM EST

Line: SEA -12.0

Over/Under: 45.5

After last week’s solid road performance, I think the Seahawks have shaken off their two-week funk with those close victories.

PICK: Seattle

Kansas City Chiefs (9-0) @ Denver Broncos (8-1) 11/17- 8:30PM EST

Line: DEN -7.5

Over/Under: 49.0

The first of two anticipated meetings is soon upon us.. can the much ‘talked-about’ Kansas City defense do enough to slow down the Broncos?

PICK: Denver

New England Patriots (7-2) @ Carolina Panthers (6-3) 11/18- 8:30PM EST

Line: CAR -2.5

Over/Under: 46.5

Monday night showdown. Tough one for me… Pats 2-2 on the road thus far but are still the Patriots and the Panthers have won five straight. If Carolina has another defensive performance like last week, I like their chances.

PICK: Carolina

NCAA Prediction Week 12 College Football Game Preview & Pick- #25 Georgia vs. #7 Auburn

111213_icf_georgiaauburn_thumb_640x360_63239235997

NCAA Football Prediction Georgia Bulldogs vs Auburn tigers game

#25 Georgia Bulldogs (6-3) @ #7 Auburn Tigers (6-3) 11/16- 3:30PM EST

Line: AUB -3.0

Over/Under: 63.5

What a difference a year makes when in 2012, the now No. 7 Auburn Tigers went winless in the Southeastern Conference and in 2013 are looking to keep pace in the BCS standings as they get set to host a Georgia Bulldogs team that has beaten them the last two meetings by a combined score of 83-7.

Payback is definitely on the minds of the Tigers when then No. 5 Georgia went into Jordan-Hare Stadium and shutout Auburn 38-0.

This year, the Bulldogs are ranked No. 25 and looking for similar results.

From a personal standpoint, I have yet to beat Georgia,” junior defensive tackle Gabe Wright said. “There are a lot of guys who have yet to Georgia. Guys are more focused and locked in.”

It’s been all Georgia as of late where they have won six of seven in the series, except Auburn’s championship year of 2010.

This year’s Auburn’s team at 9-1 (5-1 SEC) is liking their chances once again now that they are back to winning after last year’s 3-9 mark.

The teachers’ attitudes are better. The bus drivers’ attitudes are better,” Wright said. “I guess what I am trying to get at is that everybody’s attitude is better. There’s not much bad that can come from winning. It’s a new day here. We’re blessed to be at this point. We just can’t wait for the next opportunity.”

Auburn quarterback Nick Marshall played as a defensive back for Georgia in 2011 before transferring to a junior college and ending up at Auburn this year has their starting QB.

He’s familiar with them, there’s no doubt,” Tigers coach Gus Malzahn said. “But if he holds true to past experience this year, he doesn’t get too high or too low. Not much really rattles him. He stays pretty calm no matter what the moment.”

Marshall leads all SEC quarterbacks with 734 yards rushing while averaging just 17.7 passing attempts per game in Auburn’s zone-read offense.

Auburn has 33 rushing touchdowns this year so far… good for third in the country behind Oregon and Auburn and their 320.0 rushing yards per game is third best in the country.

For Georgia (6-2, 4-2 SEC), they were flirting with BCS championship talks earlier in the season but suffered some tough losses and lost some steam.

The Bulldogs are lead by Aaron Murray who is 174 of 275 for 2477 yards passing and 20 touchdowns but leading receiver Chris Conley (sprained ankle) and tight end Arthur Lynch (ribs) are questionable but Georgia coach Mark Richt believes they have a shot to play on Saturday.

Auburn’s powerful running game has made them the odds-on favorite going in with a slight (minus) -3.0 at home, but be sure to check the betting lines often here at Wonder Punter and secure your bet(s) before kickoff for free.

I too have the Tigers as my pick with what they bring in the running department and the Bulldogs better be ready.

It’s going to be hard to keep them from reducing the yardage on third down and having that run-pass threat on third down,” Richt said.

That’s the part of the reason why they’re so successful—they have very few third-and-long situations unless there’s a penalty. … It really doesn’t matter what we did in the past. It matters what we do Saturday, and hopefully we’ll get them on the ground.”

Expect another great SEC battle on Saturday afternoon.

PICK: Auburn Tigers

NCAA College Football Pick – Georgia Tech vs. #8 Clemson

gerorgia-tech

NCAA Prediction College Football Week 12 Thursday Game Preview & Pick- Georgia Tech vs. #8 Clemson

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-3) @ Clemson Tigers (8-1) 11/14- 7:30PM EST

Line: CLEM -10.5

Over/Under: 57.5

On Thursday night, the No. 8 Clemson Tigers, coming off their bye-week will look to stay on track in the BCS race against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in another Atlantic Coast Conference match-up on prime-time here is my prediction and pick for this game.

The Clemson Tigers (8-1, 6-1 ACC) hope to pick up where they left off before their week off when they defeated Virginia in a rout 59-10 on Nov. 2nd and have won their last two since their week 8 loss to No. 2 Florida State.

The guys deserve all the credit because they have gotten themselves ready and found ways to win games,” Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said. “This is the most complete game that we had. This team will be judged based on how we finish, but we had a good start to November.”

Clemson wide-out Sammy Watkins has been on fire the last two games with 22 catches for 332 yards in the last two games making quarterback Tajh Boyd’s job look easy.

When you have a guy like him with space, he’s going to have an opportunity to make plays,” Boyd said of Watkins. “Sammy did an unbelievable job. You kind of just got to throw your arm up and he will have a chance to get the ball.”

Fully verified Winning betting system, since 1999  Vip picks

The combination of Boyd and Watkins has helped the Tigers average 39.8 points a game to rank 15th in the FBS and in their last two games have out-gained Maryland and Virginia 1,150-641 in total offense.

That’s what we plan on doing, keep finishing and staying healthy,” Watkins said. “We need to go out with a bang and have fun. This is what it is all about here in November. You got to show everyone that you’re a top 10 team now and not just in September.”

With the way the Tigers have been playing since their lone defeat to Florida State, Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson knows he will have his hands full with Clemson.

It’s certainly going to be a big challenge on Thursday night,” said Johnson. “Clemson is a tough place to play and they’ve got a lot of explosive athletes. .. We look at it as an opportunity to go in and measure ourselves as a team and see if we’ve made the progress we feel we’ve made in the past couple of weeks.”

The Tigers may be going in as the favorite with a (minus) -10.5 at home, but Georgia Tech has some offensive fire-power of their own with a bruising running game that averages 311.2 yards out of the triple option.

They also have a defense that allows only 103.4 rushing yards against… good for 10th in all of college football.

The Yellow Jackets (6-3, 5-2 ACC) with a win on Thursday can clinch at least a share of the Coastal Division title but it hasn’t been easy as Georgia Tech has followed a three-game losing streak with three straight wins, outscoring opponents 112-35 in that span.

We’re a team that’s fairly physical. We run the ball pretty good an defend the run pretty good,” Johnson said. “When we do the things that we do well and take care of the ball, we could be a tough out.”

Thursday night’s game will be well played, but the spread dictates the failures of Georgia Tech to beat a Top 25 team, where they have lost seven in a row and the Tigers have beaten unranked opponents 26 consecutive times at home by an average of 23.6 points.

It seems like a safe bet on Clemson come Thursday night, but feel free to check the latest lines here at Wonder Punter up until game time.

PICK: Clemson

NFL Prediciton Week 10 Monday Night Football Game Preview/Pick- Miami vs. Tampa Bay

miami

Miami Dolphins (4-4) @ Tampa Bay (0-8) 11/11- 8:30PM EST

Line: MIA -1.0

Over/Under: 41.0

With the Miami Dolphins going through a week of bad headlines surrounding alleged internal harassment between players and now a league investigation, can the Miami Dolphins stay focused on playing a full 60-minutes of football against the winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday night? here is the prediction

Right now we’re focused on sticking together as a team, having each others backs as a team, and getting ready to play a football game,” Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill said. “At the end of the day, we’re playing a Tampa Bay team on the road on Monday. So we have to deal with this, yes, but we also have to get ready to play a football game.”

At stake for the Dolphins (4-4) is to get back to winning football as they seek their second straight win and look to get back in the playoff hunt.

The Dolphins won their first three games to start the season, then dropped four straight before winning last week at home against the Bengals in OT.

You never want to lose four games in a row,” coach Joe Philbin said. “And we had an excellent football team coming in town. It was time for us to step up and we had to make a decision—what are we going to be? And I thought they answered the bell pretty well.”

Protection will be an issue for the Dolphins who will be without offensive linemen Jonathan Martin and Richie Incognito sidelined. Martin left the team before last week’s game due to alleged bullying by Incognito, who was suspended indefinitely this week.

For the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-8), they are coming off one of their better games last week giving Seattle all they can handle before blowing a fourth-quarter lead for the fourth time this season and falling to the Seahawks 27-24.

Tough loss, but there’s a lot of good things on that tape. … Things we can build off of,” coach Greg Schiano said.

One thing to build on is the 24 points scored against a great Seahawks defense… which was a season-best for the Bucs. They rank second to last in points per game (15.5) and yards per game (304.4).

Rookie quarterback Mike Gleenon has shown great improvement over the last three games with five touchdowns and no interceptions.

Another bright spot has been rookie running back Mike James who ran for a career-high 158 yards on 28 carries filling in for the injured Doug Martin.

Those are things that are getting us excited and encouraged,” Schaino said. “Three games without an interception. That’s how we have to play the game. I’m mad at myself for not getting us there sooner.”

The oddsmakers are also encouraged by the Bucs recent play by giving the Dolphins a slight advantage with the spread with a (minus) -1.0 for the Dolphins. Be sure to visit Wonder Punter before game time to place your bet on Monday’s game.

Tampa Bay has also won the last two at home versus the Dolphins and three of four against them.

With the betting line as close as it is, I feel the Buccaneers are ready to upset the Dolphins and notch their first victory of the season.

PICK: Tampa Bay

NCAA College Football BCS Top 25 Preview/Picks

top 25

With Week 11 of college football starting Thursday night, here is my picks along with the betting lines for each of the BCS Top 25 teams in action. Find your favorite game(s) and place your bets with us!

#1 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-0) vs. #13 LSU Tigers (7-2) 11/09- 8:00PM EST

Line: ALA -12.5

Over/Under: 55.0

Expect another classic SEC battle between two great football teams. May be closer then spread, but with the Tide at home, I like them to cover.

PICK: Alabama

#2 Florida State Seminoles (8-0) @ Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-5) 11/09- 12:00PM EST

Line: FSU -35.0

Over/Under: 54.5

With the way the Seminoles have been playing with Heisman Trophy candidate Jameis Winston running the offense, the oddsmakers have them heavily favored to win easily on the road.

PICK: Florida State

#3 Oregon Ducks (8-0) @ #5 Stanford Cardinal (7-1) 11/07- 9:00PM EST

Line: ORE -10.5

Over/Under: 61.0

The oddsmakers have the Ducks favored big on the road against a tough Stanford defense. I’m comfortable with the Ducks covering the line but feel it may go under on the score.

PICK: Oregon

#6 Baylor Bears (7-0) vs. #10 Oklahoma Sooners (7-1) 11/07- 7:30PM EST

Line: BAY -14.5

Over/Under: 73.5

Wow 73.5 points on the over/under, Baylor can score but they haven’t been tested with a good defense yet that the Sooners bring in. Tough decision on total points. I like the spread better with Baylor to win.

PICK: BAYLOR

#8 Missouri Tigers (8-1) @ Kentucky Wildcats (2-6) 11/09- 12:00PM EST

Line: MIZZ -14.5

Over/Under: 56.5

I like the way Missouri plays on both sides of the ball and see no problem handling the Wildcats on the road to cover.

PICK: Missouri

#9 Auburn Tigers (8-1) @ Tennessee Volunteers (4-5) 11/09- 12:00PM EST

Line: AUB -7.5

Over/Under: 55.0

I have to agree on the spread with Auburn favored in a close one. Expect the Vols to play inspired football at home.

PICK: Auburn

#11 Miami-FL Hurricanes (7-1) vs. Virginia Tech Hokies (6-3) 11/09- 7:00PM EST

Line: MIA -6.5

Over/Under: 44.0

Can the Canes bounce back after last weeks beating at Florida State? Oddsmakers think so, but not as much being that they are at home.

PICK: Miami

#14 Oklahoma State Cowboys (7-1) vs. Kansas Jayhawks (2-6) 11/09- 4:00PM EST

Line: OKST -31.0

Over/Under: 53.5

Big road win last week and it will be a big home win this week… look for the Cowboys to roll over the Jayhawks and cover on all fronts.

PICK: Oklahoma State

#15 Texas A&M Aggies (7-2) vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs (4-4) 11/09- 3:30PM EST

Line: TA&M -19.5

Over/Under: 66.5

Johnny Manziel to light it up on the Bulldogs. Safe bet on the spread.

PICK: Texas A&M

#16 Fresno State Bulldogs (8-0) @ Wyoming Cowboys (4-4) 11/09- 12:15PM EST

Line: FRES -9.5

Over/Under: 79.0

The O/U at 79.0 is so-so for my taste…. points will be scored but I feel more comfortable with the spread.

PICK: Fresno State

#19 UCLA Bruins (6-2) @ Arizona Wildcats (6-2) 11/09- 10:00PM EST

Line: UCLA -1.0

Over/Under: 56.0

This is a tough one to call for me… I like the Bruins all around, but at only with a (minus) -1.0 favorite on the road… I would tempted to bet the points better on the over.

PICK: UCLA

#20 Louisville Cardinals (7-1) @ Connecticut Huskies (0-7) 11/08- 8:30PM EST

Line: LOU -27.5

Over/Under: 49.0

Louisville is a still a solid football team on both sides of the ball… Cardinals to cover on all betting lines.

PICK: Louisville

#21 Central Florida Knights (6-1) vs. Houston Cougars (7-1) 11/09- 7:00PM EST

Line: UCF -11.0

Over/Under: 64.5

Both teams can score, I like the over on 64.5.

#22 Arizona State Sun Devils (6-2) @ Utah Utes (4-4) 11/09- 4:00PM EST

Line: ASU -7.0

Over/Under: 64.0

Even though the Sun Devils go into Utah as the favorites, the Utes are a different team at home. It’s a toss-up for me on this one.

PICK: Pick-Em

#23 Notre Dame (7-2) @ Pittsburgh Panthers (4-4) 11/09- 8:00PM EST

Line: ND -4.0

Over/Under: 51.0

#20 Louisville Cardinals (7-1) @ Connecticut Huskies (0-7) 11/08- 8:30PM EST

Line: LOU -28.0

Over/Under: 49.0

With No. 20 Louisville coming off their second bye week and going into Friday nights game against the winless Connecticut Huskies (0-7, 0-3 AAC), the one main thing that’s been on their minds is finishing games.

Louisville (7-1, 3-1 American Athletic Conference) with their second-ranked defense in the country look to play a complete game and get back into the BCS bowl picture by staying aggressive the entire game.

Cardinals coach Charlie Strong says, “We haven’t played a complete game yet.”

It was October 18 when the Louisville Cardinals suffered a heartbreaking loss at the hands of UCF squandering a 21-point lead with less then eight minutes to go and losing 38-35 that knocked them out of any talks for a possible BCS championship game.

The following week the Cardinals rebounded by shutting down South Florida 34-3.

Louisville defensive coordinator Vance Bedford says shaking off that loss was difficult.

We dragged around for about three or four days after that loss,” he said. “What we told them is this: ‘Don’t let that game beat you twice. Let’s get back to who we are’… They were back to having fun.”

With the betting lines making the Cardinals 28-points favorites, it’s a safe bet with their dominating defense that allows only 244.5 yards per game to win easily and cover the spread. They also rank second in scoring giving up an average of 10.6 points, right behind top-ranked Alabama (9.8).

We really needed that one,” said Cardinal defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin. “I know there’s a lot of people out there saying that we didn’t play up to our ability against UCF. We had to put our statement back out there, basically saying we needed to beat USF to get back on track.”

Despite the resurgent defense of the Cardinals, Mauldin believes there is room for improvement with Cardinals struggling in the sack department the last two games.

When the ball is in the air, I want them to have the attitude that the ball is our ball,” said Bedford. “I need more guys to feel that way… When we get that mindset, I’ll be ready to say I’m excited.”

For the Connecticut Huskies, they come in with loads of problems on the offensive of the ball…. Last in the ACC in rushing offense (76.3) and second-to-last in total offense (293.3) and scoring offense (16.4).

With their last loss of 62-17 at UCF, they have now loss eight in a row dating back to last season.

It’s hard to say we’re deficient. We got some weapons. I’m not going to say it’s a lack of talent,” Huskies interim coach T.J. Weiss said. “We’d like more depth, more explosiveness in certain areas, but we have talent. We’ve got to keep pushing to find answers.”

Louisville will be looking for revenge as UConn beat the Cardinals last year 23-20 in three overtimes, which was their last victory.

Last year’s game doesn’t mean anything because it’s last year,” Weist said. “It’s nice that they won, but that wasn’t this year. It sure gives you confidence, but it’s going to be a whole new game Friday night.

Any big game you go into, it comes down to momentum and making plays. We have to make catches and make throws and put it all together during drives. We’ve looked at last year’s film, but we’re not focusing on it. We’re starting over this Friday night.”

With a spread of Louisville -28.0 and over/under of 49.0, it’s a safe bet with the Cardinals offensive power and defensive dominance that they will cover all betting lines.

Look for another impressive performance from Teddy Bridegwater and the Louisville Cardinals on Friday night.
