Report: Golden, Franklin on Penn St. coach list

The names you’d expect to be on Penn State’s early checklist of candidates for their vacant head coaching position are, actually, reportedly on Penn State’s early record of candidates for his or her vacant head coaching place.

ESPN reported Friday that Miami’s Al Golden, Vanderbilt’s James Franklin and the Tennessee Titans’ Mike Munchak “high the listing” of Nittany Lion targets. Nonetheless, none of them have yet truly met with Penn State officers, the report stated.

Golden and Munchak are each Penn State alums, whereas Franklin is a local of Langhorne, Pennsylvania.

Reviews circulated Friday that Golden had already been offered the job, however reporter David Jones of the Patriot-Information acknowledged that wasn’t the case:
