Michigan sophomore forward Mitch McGary can have again surgical procedure, the college announced, which doubtless signifies that the sophomore's season is over.
The varsity did not put a date on McGary's possible return, but ESPN's Jeff Goodman is reporting that the potential lottery pick will not play once more in 2013-14.
"My again problems have been a every day challenge ever since late August," McGary said in a press release Friday. "We've labored laborious rehabbing the harm, and I assumed that every little thing was proceeding in the correct direction till the last two weeks.
"I have consulted with my family, my coaches and our docs and determined the most suitable choice now is to have surgery."
McGary was a projected lottery pick in the 2013 NBA Draft after the freshman averaged 14.three points and 10.7 rebounds for the nationwide runners-up.
